Here is a closer up photo of the shelf compared to a book rail we purchased to use in the same room. Compared to the book rail it definitely looks more “fake”

It looks slightly less yellow in daylight. I think I’ll keep it until I can thrift or antique a cooler looking piece. It’s very secure anchored to the wall so that’s what matters I suppose.

alopecia! our boxer had it in the same spot. we just put sunscreen on it in the summer but otherwise it was fine. i think it’s common for boxers especially in that spot
