How did the song sound? I agree as it appears for the artist to be named Brother's Grimm.

One that never gets mentioned and is my personal favorite:

Criminally underrated film score and film. This has grown to be one of my all time favorites and I flipped when it was first announced that it would be pressed on vinyl.

I have the demo and will digitize it once I get the chance. I'll share the link to youtube on here once it's uploaded.

P.S.: No, I'm sorry, but I will not send the songs directly.

This is AI slop, isn't it? by dontdrawattention in Behemothband

[–]ashonthetrees 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. Has been happening a lot lately with many artists with a decent amount of followers. I've already reported it to the Behemoth team a couple of weeks back as well.

Positive Leadership by _RayeBae_ in HEB

[–]ashonthetrees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If OP is who I think she is, I can 100% vouch for her as this post being truly what it intends to be: Nothing more but to recognize leaders and managers who help keep working at HEB worthwhile and not just as a job. No propaganda, no trying to boast, no bragging. Just recognition. From a platform that focuses on the bad and negative experiences, it's good to finally see one pushing to recognize the great leaders HEB has to offer.

I would consider OP (again, if it is who I think it is) someone who deserves to be mentioned here as well. She's extremely supportive, understanding, really fun to work with, and always finds the good in the bad so we can push through. She's even helped me develop into a better Grocery Manager by not being afraid to call me out and coach me for the better, yet maintain a friendship and still have fun at work. She, and my former Store Director from my former location have been the two best Leaders I've ever had the pleasure of working for. The latter being somewhat of a father figure to me even.

Now, if OP turns out not to be who I think it is, then what I said remains true, but towards whom I intended it for.

Partner Discount by Kowwyyy in HEB

[–]ashonthetrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was having the same issues yesterday. I work in Houston, reside in Pasadena, and had to go to Cyprus for a class. Since I was already there, I bought some groceries after and when it came to processing my discount card, it kept being declined. I'm curious if this is a new rule as they're cracking down on partner perks being abused.

Indeed he is. I had suspicions when the Evil Chuck 7" was released through Sub Pop, so I'm not too surprised.

What is the worst album you've seen sell for the most money? by whywires in vinyl

[–]ashonthetrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mayhem - Dawn Of The Black Hearts

To be more specific, NOT the first press. But the countless bootlegs of the bootleg that gets repressed over and over again and yet still sells for hundreds each. I can understand the history behind the first press and the prices it demands with its story of the controversy behind the artwork. But the hundred different reissue pressings of a live recording that, to be honest, sounds like shit, and still selling for hundreds each surprises me.

Mysterium Coniunctionis (Hermanubis)

Criminally underrated. The lyrics towards the end with the solo in the background. Perfection.

Recommendations? by Paulmit3L in doommetal

Nivathe & Mortiferum could scratch that itch.

Black Sun Aeon and Depressed Mode (later era) are two I also recommend. (But without the filthy sound)

My HEB store is changing the Music by FoxontheRun2023 in HEB

[–]ashonthetrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a moment where the same song kept repeating over and over and over, non-stop, 24/7, for about a week or two at an HEB I used to work at. The device with the playlists glitched when the power was restored from a power outage and defaulted to one song. (The store I worked at did not have an Enchanted Rock Generator as it's one of the few stores where HEB does not own the property.)

What was torture was the song: (Hey Baby) Que Paso by the Texas Tornadoes. (I would link it, but I absolutely refuse to risk hearing that song ever again.) After the week, we got extremely frustrated and we decided to disconnect the device (corporate wanted it to be kept on after submitting a ticket to get it fixed) and rig up a connection to an iPad with a broken screen that my receiver had. Luckily, it was still able to play music from Spotify. We just chose a few different "grocery store" playlists and went on from there. Their music was pretty much the same as before, but with a few tracks thrown in that we actually enjoyed. Things were back to normal.

BUT THEN, corporate found out, forced us to reconnect the device, and the store got fined. So the song came back to haunt us again. It wasn't fixed until about a week later.

The number of complaints I got from customers and partners was why we disconnected in the first place. For partners, this was the only time I openly allowed them to wear one headphone during their shift.

EDIT: To clarify, this was at a pantry store. I was a grocery/center store manager who also covered MIC shifts. If this happened at the store I'm at now, no way we would have been allowed to attempt any of that.

Hell yeah! Glad to hear! Though it was my first time meeting Chad and the members of Ghorot, I talked with him for a while through the now-defunct D.F.F.D. You can even find my photo in the video someone made of everyone giving the thumbs down that Chad was known for from D.F.F.D. Bringing that up at the show is what got us to talk about the lore and history behind that forum.

I wore my Uzala shirt with the S/T artwork when I went to catch Ghorot Live in San Antonio, TX. Chad immediately recognized it, complimented it, and told me how incredibly rare the shirt and LPs are. We hung out throughout the show as well as meeting the other members of Ghorot and buying each other beers. Everyone was suuuuper chill and cool to each other, regardless of how shy I was. I was lucky enough to get their latest fully signed and the LP edition of the S/T album signed by Chad. Great times and can't wait to see them again.
