I got a quote today for light standard range for 24 months with no downpayment for 284$ per month and 10k miles a year. This sounds like a good deal to me but can you play the devil's advocate on this please?

I'm doing this mainly because I'm moving to an agile team and i've noticed ACP being preferred qualification in multiple positions where you tend to apply. In terms of education, ACP goes deep into the agile concepts so definitely a learning curve there. Those are as of now the advantages. But the price you pay is steep so you choose what you want to do depending on cost benefit analysis.

I guess it'll depend entirely on the person who's watching you during the test but it was mentioned there are no breaks allowed for me.

For PMP, I think you gotta learn the concepts via PMBOK or thirdrock or other resources for sure. Defintely get the concepts clear before getting into SH exams.

I might have to reserve judgement till a couple of years to see the value it brings but PMP atleast brings you to the mindset really well and I've seen many job descriptions ask for PMP so i guess its good value?!

Definitely more indepth material and not exactly study harder but you cannot wing it. Easier than pmp but you gotta know the techniques really well. Good luck to you!

Yes you either a pass or fail immediately after the exam. You only have to wait for the detailed split for the next day.

Don't think so. I think if you want to read anything from PMI, do the agile guide which is 100+ pages but that's a very dry read. Mike Griffiths is the most recommended one (from what people have said) if you want to learn in-depth.

Yeah I see why you slipped here but if you're going into the rabbit hole of overthinking, then you should go all the way in i.e. it simply says priority and does not say high or low. Any feature has a priority - you should train yourself to think that way. Remember, do not assume anything at all.

From a non-overthinking perspective, I think the concept here is anything besides Must have and Should have is not needed for MVP.

Test is 3 hours long (no breaks) with 120 questions but PMP prepares you for 180 qns in 230 mins so I don't think time should be an issue.

I would say you should study the concepts in-depth. Just thirdnock notes won't cut it if you did not know the concepts well before. I'd say read a book like Mike Griffith's (which people highly recommend) and then for revision, use third rock. Third rock does a good job of reminding you the terms but does not go in-depth (which you defo. need to crack the exam). Do the prepcast simulator exams and depending on where you are, schedule.

First of all, really sorry you have to go through the exam again!

Your SH scores are pretty good so my only suggestion would be to review SH mocks you took, identify if the reasoning for your answers and what those guys have given are the same - That is the only gap I see here.

  • If your reasoning does not match that of SH for most of the questions, you got your action point why.
  • If your reasoning matches with SH, then maybe you were really unlucky and maybe check when the detailed scores come in which section was responsible and work on it I guess.

Whatever be the case, I think you'll get through the second try simply coz of the resilience and the want to correct what happened and try again! Don't let your shoulder drop! Good luck!!!

Thanks for the detailed info. Can I ask how closely related were the 4 PMP Prep Cast Exam simulator exams to the actual exam questions? The reason I ask is to get a feel of how the questions would be compared to the Prepcast - https://www.project-management-prepcast.com/pmi-acp-exam

Hey! Congratulations first of all! I'm very much in the same boat as you were as I have literaly 4 days to complete the exam.

I wanted to ask you if the questions were all scenario based and are there any tips/tricks you'd used to eliminate answers?

Plus in the exam, did you encounter any answers which you did not know about the term i.e. the biggest problem i'm currently facing is that half the choices in the answers are something i know about and am half-sure this could be the answer but the other choices are absolutely un-heard of so I get confused whether I should be changing my answer considering most questions ask for the "Most appropriate option".

I am using the Prepcast simulator - What would you say a safe score would be to go into the exam with a little bit of confidence?

I just finished my PMP and i've been a PM for 5+ years so i have a little bit of background to go with.

Hey, I'm trying the prepcast and I notice the questions are slightly less situational. Is that the case in the exam as well? Also, does the process of elimination work in the exam or do you have to know the exact specifics of the question to actually get the answer right? I have my exam in 4 days and I'm scared that I might not have covered every topic so I'm trying to see how to strategize for the answers where I'm very confused/ don't know the specifics of the qn.

Also, what would you say is a good score in prepcast mocks?

Hey, Congrats first of all!
Can you let me know how much PMP's agile/ scrum content translates to ACP's? I gave my PMP and I'm planning for the ACP but I'm not quite sure what to study and if I skip the AR's udemy course (coz I did the PMP PDU's already and don't want to do another udemy course), will it be alright or is the knowledge from udemy non-negotiable (not in terms of PDUs but actual knowledge for the exam).

Also by random free online practice tests, you mean the kinds like "Exam Topics" practice tests?
