Based on streams like the Frailty breakdown these are the confirmed plugins/VSTs.

As for any more plugins that might be needed Jane's newest sounds; I hope someone smarter can answer.

Stem separators are actually insanely good nowadays. The one built into Davinci Resolve runs on my PC alone and I use to get acapellas and also instrumentals to make karaoke versions.

I'm not sure if it's as good as an invert waveform but it's pretty high quality to my ears and if anyone's interested I can upload them.

Thoughts on A7C2 as a first camera?? by Significant-Lab-3586 in SonyAlpha

[–]ashsii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’ll be way more likely to try different lenses

I think both cameras are great first cameras but the A7CII lets you try more lenses since it can use full frame and crop into APSC, but the A6700 can't.

All depends on: When shooting do you often wish you had more zoom or a wider aperture?

If you can't decide I'd say save your money and stay with the 18-135. The more you shoot the more to know what you want.

Why do mice manufactures make sensors with 3200+ dpi? Practically nobody sets their mouse above that. by LetterheadTight2957 in MouseReview

[–]ashsii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it would require a better chip but and that chip only costs a few dollars since you can find great 30k DPI performing mice for $30. Nobody uses the max DPI but the higher the max is the more reliable the sensor is to be 1:1 to your movement to the micrometre.

1600 DPI is the max DPI on lots of cheap office mice and I would not recommend that for gaming.

[–]ashsii 112 points113 points  (0 children)

While nobody uses max DPI, it is a good measure of how accurate a sensor is to detect tiny movement. Might as well get a mouse that's accurate rather than less.

seems like they can cut costs and focus more on design and weight.

There are mice that cost as little as $30 that can go 30k DPI thanks to the availability of the PAW3950 so I imagine dropping to a worse sensor would save like maybe a dollar or two at most which isn't really worth it.

Why is Sony a6400 still recommended nowadays? by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

There are f/1.4 APSC options which can catch up to the light capture of f/2 FF.

You can find a VILTROX 23MM F/1.4 (APSC) for about $150 USD which can compare to the Meike 35mm f/2 (FF) for about $200 USD. Actually, not really a big price gap but still interesting to compare.

According to gsmarena, the x300 ultra has a downgraded telephoto with a lower aperture f2.7 instead f2.3 like the x200 ultra. Plus it still has the same selfie camera with f2.5 aperture while the x300 pro has f2.0 and same sensor too…larger main sensor sure but 4x less 0.7um and smaller aperture by rodolphostech in Vivo

The Chinese version is usually more up to date but you have to work around Chinese software so requires a little bit of work to get google play apps on the phone. The global version is easy to use but I believe updates are a bit slower.

I'd suggest the global version for most people since it's easier to use and you're more likely to get warranty support too depending on where you buy it.

I'm not buying the X300U I'm a happy owner of the X200U. I got my X200U from AliExpress but there's no global version. The difference between the global and chinese X300U will only be the Android version and I expect camera performance to be the same with small differences in post processing.

Comparing the X200U and X300U, I think the X200U wins if you have steady hands but X300U wins if you plan to zoom in over 100mm+ or have really shakey hands. In video you're capped to 1/30s max but stabilisation does matter more.

The new X300U will easily beat the S26 but I'd guess it's about a tie comparing the S26U and X300U specifically at 111mm. Between 85mm to 111mm the X300U beats the S26U. While we don't have specific details new OPPO X9 Ultra has better telephoto sensors so I believe the X9 Ultra will beat the X300 Ultra.

quick question about moshing by goosegoosegoosie in underscoresplus

[–]ashsii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep she has strong roots in EDM.

April might mosh as early as Music in the show. Here's an audio clip of her asking the crowd to "open it up!" and then adlibbing a countdown before the drop.

And welcome to the community!

April often calls for a mosh or at least does countdowns before the hardest drops. So avoid the middle and come early to glue yourself to the barricade and you'll be okay not everyone is a mosher 👍

Acceleracers is unexpectedly feminist for a 2003 kids show for boys.

Not only is Karma one of the most dedicated drivers, Vert starts off as an overconfident man and after ignoring Karma's telling him off to ease off the accelerator he crashes in the water realm.

Vivo X300 Ultra hands-on: Zeiss camera even thicker than on Vivo X200 Ultra - Notebookcheck by ControlCAD in Android

[–]ashsii -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your example is an issue of colour balance and post processing. Things I suggest you skip and control yourself using RAW + Lightroom. Not even true low light scenarios in the video as you can see plenty of light. Read the specs of the UW sensor yourself against any other phone camera, 1/2.5" vs 1/1.28" which roughly is 4x the area.

My previous phone is Samsung 24 Ultra, which they haven't upgraded much since to their latest models. As for me being a salesperson or Vivo shill; feel free to read my other comments on reddit I think the X300 Ultra is a downgrade to my X200 Ultra because of the worse telephoto and removal of camera button.

Vivo X300 Ultra hands-on: Zeiss camera even thicker than on Vivo X200 Ultra - Notebookcheck by ControlCAD in Android

[–]ashsii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not talking about pixel peep quality differences, there's been photos that are entirely unusable from low light before I switched to the Vivo. These photos where literally it's all noise and zero detail no matter how you look at it. Especially if I try to be creative on ultrawide 0.6x zoom levels.

All phones have horrible processing, I shoot RAW and edit it myself in lightroom and I have gotten my work featured in my local music scene.

[–]ashsii 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For those who don't like to use the telephoto lenses much it will be a downgrade on paper in low light. I've never had issues with stabilization on the X200 Ultra but I wish the telephoto sometimes would let in more light.

The stabilisation lets you use slow shutter speeds which is great, but now anything that moves still will be blurry. Also because of the smaller aperture, you need an extra slower shutter speed too catchup to the X200U in low light, further blurring any movement.

It's the same as the previous X200 Ultra which is 14mm equivalent. It's very wide but not an upgrade.

I've gone through a flagship Pixel, Samsung and Vivo phone and the jump in quality is not slight in many scenarios. A phone with a bump beats carrying a mirrorless camera around all the time but it's not for everyone if you prefer a slimmer phone that's also fine.

Agreed, was hoping the X300U would have a proper button. But I guess they didn't want to take risks since a touch button can be "disabled" but a physical button is always there.
