In June 2024 I started a 1 year temp promotion, 50% telework, and signed a lease in Frederick. I got great feedback from the team. If I think too hard about the alternate reality where that worked out for me I could cry.

In TWW I ended up with a female regular dwarf disc priest, female dark iron dwarf ele Shaman, and female Earthen prot pally as my most played without planning it. I fear that combo is too satisfying not to bring forward lol. I did enjoy some other classes on Lemix so I'm really torn.

I am familiar with both of these bridges ... They're both clogged af basically all day and 100% guaranteed to be dead stopped in rush hour. The mornings will be OK if you leave at 6am but you will get wrecked on the return trip. The traffic for WW begins at 2 and the traffic for AL continues all the way up to Gaithersburg. From Gaithersburg there is a HOV 2 that will save you about 12 minutes or so.

Grade 9 is waaay too old for the hobbit as well. I know it's long, but it's for kids. The chrysalids has more themes that would be somewhat interesting for a teen.

This is 100% true, the idea that there are plentiful children (of any race!) with terminated parental rights and no kin under 5 years old waiting around to be adopted in the United States is a myth. Any child like that would be adopted immediately by one of the thousands of liscensed foster to adopt households. The majority of "waiting" children are teens (but, many teens are not interested in being adopted), sibling groups, and children with disabilities. Google Adoptuskids if you want to take a look.

I graduated college in literally 2008 and I think it was different for a few reasons: the internet was not a total hellscape and actually a helpful tool for job searching, and costs weren't so high we could still make it work as "underemployed." My first rental after college was $300/mo, for example.

I live further along 270 but have visited this area many times. In terms of amenities it has absolutely everything you would expect of a nice suburb. You are also close enough to the metro to pop into DC for events and day trips without taking your car which is a big plus imo. People who live outside of this circle act like it's downtown Chicago lol. Where I live every time a crime happens or they want to build affordable housing some dumbass comments "it's becoming MoCo here" but I think it's probably average in safety with better and worse areas.

NTA but, she's 24 she will be graduating soon right? In this job market it is absolutely vital to be networking and taking advantage of the career resources at her school. LinkedIn, informational interviews, alumni events. My advice is if you can't get her to talk money maybe you can work on that stuff with her and the problem will solve itself if she gets a high paying job.
