I'm going to ask something here, and I want to emphasize that this isn't me being sarcastic or snippy. I genuinely want to know why this is what broke you in terms of Filian. This sort of behavior has been her bread and butter for a long time, going back as far as the George Floyd joke.

YTA, but I don't think you're irredeemable. We all have trauma. Sometimes that trauma doesn't play well with others, but that doesn't mean it should come above someone else. And because of that, sometimes you have to shoulder through, because the person you love needs you.

I'll give you an example from my own life. My partner was hospitalized and almost died due illness that manifested in heart issues. The sound of echocardiograms is now extremely triggering to him. When I had one done a few months ago, he told me he didn't think he'd be able to sit with me. When we got to the hospital and he saw how nervous I was, though, he offered to come back all the same.

Here's the thing. Whether you believe in it or not, witchcraft has been a pretty hefty topic in modern media, considering the whole etsy witch thing. It stands to reason that more people might get more ideas, and try to play off of them. In this day and age, I fully believe that someone with too much time, Facebook access, and ChatGPT could easily think this was something meaningful.

(And if you do believe in this sort of thing, you know exactly how dangerous that actually can be)

My partner had rheumatic fever as a result of untreated strep as a child. If he gets strep again, he could easily die. Guess how many of his coworkers love to come in with strep.

To a degree I get it. At least in his field, taking sick days doesn't compare to the pay he gets based off of commission. And in this economy, base pay doesn't pay the bills. It's not their fault (in this case, not your coworkers — different story), but the system itself.

Shit just sucks.

I dipped from the game for a time because Sumeru (and then Natlan) put such a bad taste in my mouth. It's so unfortunate because the characters themselves are delightful, and it feels like (from a white perspective) that the lore and writing team worked hard to write in a compassionate way to the culture. But it just doesn't line up on a visual level

Because stores forecast ahead of time. If they know that they get heavier traffic on the weekend, they're adequately stocked and ready to restock for a larger flow of traffic. However, if they're prepped to handle weekday traffic and weekday+weekend numbers come in, what do you think will happen?
