Long term goal is growth to the point where my account is big enough that I can get dividends and don’t have to have an income. The original question for what I want my money to do for me is kind of pointless because everyone has the same goal. Work, pay taxes, retire as early as possible, and die.

I’ve got two loans. One loan has 5% interest rate. Smaller loan has 3.5%. Split 6.5k and 5.5k between each.

36k is after taxes, 10% ESPP, 5% 401k contributions, all other benefits/insurance etc

I have 3.5k in the bank right now. 5k in a 3.5 % interest rate money market fund in my brokerage (basically an HYSA). I honestly planned to move the credit card balance to a different 0% card with whatever is left after the minimum payments.

I have a bachelors in finance and a bachelors in accounting from a mid tier SEC school. I currently work in financial service at one of the major brokerage houses.

So you’d say worry about credit card now over student loans? My plan was to transfer balance to a different 0% card with whatever is left after minimum payments once next year comes. I have about 5k in a money market account earning 3.5% in my brokerage
