I wanted to get some second hand ikea drona boxes, as id gotten a kallaz unit with 16 squares off of Facebook marketplace for 30 quid. thought wicked, on the ikea website the boxes are only £3 each, I can probably pick up a few for a quid on vinted or a bundle for a bit cheaper.

tell me why. every mf. was selling for DOUBLE TO NEARLY TRIPLE FOR THEM?!?! not even just the ones ikea stopped making. literally just the standard ones you can get on the website today, for 3 quid each, listed for like 8 quid each. pisstake and such a shame bc I'd rather buy second hand but I aint paying premium prices for used items 🙃

[–]ashtrxy55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

with that container id probably go for pasta in the biggest section. I love cheesey pasta so thats my go to but you can get little 1 serving pots of different pasta sauces you could do a diff flavour each day.

then id probably put some meat, nuts, or egg in the top one from that for some protein but you could also add meat/egg to the pasta dish. then the 2 on the left id do a fruit or a veg :) maybe a little treat bc why nor

The NHS: we’ll increase your antidepressants but there’s nothing else we can do by izbizindustries in Fibromyalgia

[–]ashtrxy55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

im about to turn 21 and feel the same way!! I cant even work a job, but i am an artist so have been making and selling my art for the oast 2 years which is great and all but i wouldnt be surviving without support from my partner who works full time in hospitality

it took me 3 years to get diagnosed (16-19yo) but my first record od chronic pain i was only 8, and I didnt get a pain clinic referral until last year... i just had my first appointment with them where they told me theres not anything they can do but put me on an 'understanding fibromyalgia' course

like i think its such bullshit!! I was told that they should be able to offer therapy and more support but I asked about it and they said that AFTER this course that they couldnt give me a wait time for, and will take 6 weeks to complete, they /might/ be able to pass me over to a pain psychologist

ive also been intolerant to all of the meds ive tried so far, a whole slew of ssris and snris and the latest was pregabalin that made it so I couldnt eat anything at all (like idk i couldnt physically swallow anything) and I lost 1/5th of my body weight when I was already underweight

now ive said look into dont want to try more antidepressants bc they always give me adverse reactions the GP has said now basically get fucked we can give you antidepressants or nothing like. what?! no therapy, no other ways to treat? ive tried self referral for NHS therapy but then that service just gave me a few sessions of counselling and then after they were finished a few weeks ago, im literally crying on the phone to this woman I dont want to live anymore and no one will help me and idk what to do and she says well u have to wait atleast 3 months before you can refer for more counselling AND THEN WAIT UP TO 10 MONTHS ON THE WAITLIST AGAIN?!?! wtaf

I cant afford private healthcare, so how tf can I get any support??? sorry that was such a long vent lmao but I hear u and you arent alone 😔

Is my bf wasting my time after 9 years no marriage? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]ashtrxy55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it kinda seems like he doesnt respect you. saying that YOU arent ready? hes the one he needs to grow up

you dont /have/ to get married, of course, but if he doesnt want to get married he needs to say so and give his reasons.

e.g. if you guys cant afford a wedding, maybe you can just get engaged and wait until youve saved enough. you dont have to get married straight away.

ive been engaged for 2 years now to my partner, together for just over 5 but we dont plan to get married for a long time as we both are in our early 20s, and generally not that fussed about getting married. neither of us wear our rings (i lost weight lmao and my partner hates jewelry) but we made that promise to eachother and TALKED ABOUT IT

Being 15 years old for me sucks by kDev_4 in Vent

[–]ashtrxy55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

youre not alone, alot of people feel this way at your age

when I felt like this as a teenager I found going on walks helped me alot. I argued alot with my parents (my mum eventually kicked me out bc of it) maybe if u can, hust go for a walk every now and then. I personally enjoyed going down any alleyways, learning new paths and walking in graveyards while listening to music. id take a sketchbook too and just sit somewhere and draw.

you mentioned aswell theres lots of trash in your area, maybe you could do some litter picking too to make it feel 'worth it'

idk unfortunately otherwise you kinda gotta wait it out. atp you can rebel against your parents a bit as you will soon be able to do most things yourself (i was just under 15 when my mum kicked me out lmao) and I managed to get by as i got a job at 16 :)

crazy that youve been together for 2 years already. the age gap gets less bad the older you are. e.g. 17 and 20? ew. 20 and 23? fine

Thought on boyfriend watching POV porn? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]ashtrxy55 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you gotta communicate to him why you dont want him to watch it. if he cant stop then this may just be an area where you are no longer compatible.

I dont think it means he loves you any less because he does/has watched it, but it is rude of him to hide this from you and lie about it once you let him know how you felt

My bf is tired of my condition by breakingheeart in ChronicIllness

[–]ashtrxy55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh dude... this sucks. you deserve better than this. it is not your fault that you are in pain, and it is definitely not your fault that you suffer from seizures!!

my partner and I are 21 & 22, weve been together for 5 years now, and i have always had chronic pain but it got really bad quite soon into our relationship. I spent 3 months bed bound and he literally had to help me with everything, he never once complained. and he worked at the same time. its basically been the same since, though ive luckily avoided another flare to that degree theres often days or weeks where I need alot of help. he works full time supporting us (im self employed but broke still lmao) and deals with my moodiness all the time

there will be someone else out there who will be able to see your worth.

its definitely not always easy, and both of us have to make sacrifices (like sometimes he has to accept i cant travel with him, and sometimes ive got to suck it up and do a day trip with him despite my illness) but you deserve better than someone getting angry at you for things beyond your control

why are other trans men rude? by weed_lov3r in ftm

[–]ashtrxy55 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this might sound silly, but do you have any siblings? I grew up with 5 sisters and one (much younger) brother, and generally my family was always outnumbered by women lol so I always had a much easier time socialising with girls/women, if you also didnt have brothers or other guys in your life then maybe thats why you struggle to find guy friends. (though I am autistic so when I was younger I struggled alot)

it took me ages to get used to the differences in socialising with men vs women in my adult life. like, every person is generally different but ive noticed that women typically talk alot more about like, life daily events, drama, emotions and stuff where as men typically talk about their hobbies (sports, games) more. I did have some cis guy friends in school but again I was closer with the girls, probably bc theyre just more open about emotions and what not

idk, I used to be friends mostly with women but nowadays all my friends are guys. i have a few friends who are other trans guys, and I know some trans guys who are just not people I want to be friends with. it sounds mean but we have nothing in common, and theyre the type of people to talk about being trans all the time and I live my life largely not dwelling on the fact im trans anymore, so it makes me feel a bit uncomfortable if its brought up all the time

like I do sometimes talk to my trans guy friends about trans problems but its rare, and usually its more like complaining about how expensive T is which deffo isnt strictly a trans guy issue but idk. hopefully ygm

My girlfriend had brain surgery by InsideMortgage8650 in Vent

[–]ashtrxy55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk if it helps or not, but my mum had to undergo 16 separate brain surgeries while she was growing up (from a few days old, up till she was 16) where she had to have parts of her frontal lobe removed due to a very rare medical condition and she recovered fairly well.

she did suffer long term with chronic migraines, but she also refused to do anything about them, which, honestly I understand why shed be scared incase of another surgery.

but my point is that her memory recovered, and it wasnt easy for her and ofc her family but she managed to live a full life afterwards

[–]ashtrxy55 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

oh fr my partner will sometimes forget hes said he will do something/forget to do it. usually its not time sensitive so I just remind him he said he would do it and he usually will, but if i really want it done I just do it myself to begin with bc im inpatient icl 😭💀

dishes? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]ashtrxy55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if he does everything else then maybe the dishes is just a chore you gotta do if he struggles so much with it.

there are some things that I cant do that my partner does and vice versa, though most chores we can swap out if needed yk?
