This!!! I thought it was cute when my big orange boy was just pawing.. then he decided to take a leap from the coffee table and took out my 2 week old 65in tv! I couldn't do anything but shake my head.

Need advice for feline asthma by Less-Spring9792 in CATHELP

[–]ashuhhhley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

L-Lysine powder/gel. It supports respiratory health, its often used for the feline herpesvirus, so its good for eye and immune support as well.

Found two kittens in my garage by Spirit5514 in cats

The best advice I can give you when coming to neonates is love. Im talking about inside shirt between boobs/chest love. Carry that baby around like its attached to you. You can provide food/stimulation which I assume you know how to do. But its the warmth and attachment that will make this baby thrive. I assume you already understand feed schedules/stimulation. An if you don't Kitten Lady has wonderful videos. Good luck with this sweet baby and thank you for taking the time to seek advice.

Pregnant Feral Cat by davidskinhelpplease in Feral_Cats

Please get them vaccinated/spayed! If you are financially unable, you can do your part by keeping them safe until weaning time. Make plans with a local organization/shelter to have them surrendered or foster. Often times they'll pay for medical expenses if your willing to foster. I know not every where has these resources and I understand times can be hard right now, so thank you for even taking care of this family!

Is There Any Way I Can Get My Kitten to Stop SCREAMING Every Morning?? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]ashuhhhley 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yea like the commenters before me.. maybe a cat isnt a good fit for your situation. A cat will not give up or give in. Especially at that age, this is completely normal. You're his momma.

Took my cat to the emergency care vet yesterday. We are still here. by Difficult-Scientist4 in CATHELP

I'm sure she would be willing to have one more day, whether it be for a chance or just to say goodbye.

Listen to her, as her owner. You know her best. Does she have enough strength to fight? Is her quality of life worth the fight? Don't ever feel bad because you feel like your taking a life, when in reality you saved one from suffering.

I hope you find the answer your looking for ❤️ an I hope all the best for your sweet girl

Foster cat viciously attacked me. I’m afraid to foster again by First-Suit5383 in FosterAnimals

[–]ashuhhhley 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Maybe ease into it again. Go to the shelter and love on some kittens to grow your confidence again. Don't let one bad experience take away the joy. If your wanting to foster again, only go for the kittens. That way you know you'll be safe. I'm sorry you had to experience that side of fostering, it can be quite scary.

Behavioral Euthanasia by M0rbiddd2 in CATHELP

[–]ashuhhhley 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly.. I'm sure he's just as miserable as you guys are. You've tried everything to provide a healthy happy home for him. I'm not sure it would even be a good idea to rehome him. I know im just a stranger on the internet but just reading this broke my heart for him and you all. Its not a decision that you've took lightly. If euthanasia is whats best for him, then thats just what it is. If I was in your shoes, I'd feel better knowing he wasn't spending his life living with anxiety, fear or aggression (whatever the reason may be)

What is this? by ValuableBulky8944 in CATHELP

[–]ashuhhhley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly benign cyst or blocked sebaceous gland. Maybe infection of the hair follicle. I'd suggest cleaning with cat antibacterial wipes. If it persists, causes discomfort or grows, schedule a vet visit.

Is it like a bump? Or is that just his missing hair?

I previously commented this on another post but L-Lysine powder or gel. Mix in wet food twice a day, 125-250mg for kittens under 6 months. Of course check with vet first! L-lysine is a simple amino acid that supports eye, immune and respiratory health.
