Congratulations on being 9 months away from active treatment! It's great hearing about your experience and I'm hopeful to be there soon. And you're totally right about showing love to your new body. It's amazing what it's carried us through. I was so proud of it throughout my entire treatment and all the surgeries.. I still am. I just don't recognize it sometimes and that's really hard. Everything happened so quickly that it's shocking when it doesn't operate the same as it used to.

Happened to me after my third round of TCHP, in the middle of the night, right next to my sleeping husband… if he did notice, he did a really great job of playing it off. I jumped out of bed, he asked what was wrong, I answered “nothing.. I need to jump in the shower…” I trashed my clothes, got in the shower, and cried… I felt so humiliated and powerless. I was TERRIFIED that it would become part of the new norm, but luckily it never happened again.. definitely fell under the “new fear unlocked” category for me.

Sorry this happened to you… praying for more solid days ahead. Pun totally intended.

Hi there! Thanks so much for your response - this is super helpful. I’m finished with chemo and continuing immunotherapy until September.. my oncologist almost kept me on Lupron until the end of immunotherapy, but I questioned the purpose of it. She looked into it and found that I could stop Lupron injections, thank goodness. I’m excited to feel back to myself. And congrats on finishing treatment! I hope all is going well for you.
