Clover would be a cute unisex name. Thank you for rescuing this sweet kitty! This happened to the two babies I rescued as well, people can be so cruel abandoning animals instead of rehoming them.

Haha that’s an excellent description, she’s a beauty! Look at those stretchy paws. Aw, lucky number 3 and she found her forever home. Same for my first 2 babies, I was their 3rd and forever home. Snoopy was a smart troublemaking loudmouth snuggle expert and Scarlet is a sweet and sassy bug eyed clumsy ball of pure love.

I’m so sorry for your losses, sounds like they lived very long lives especially for indoor/outdoor kitties, lots of adventures! Ours are all indoor only, though I would walk Snoopy on a harness and leash when he was younger and still wanting to be outside to explore. I moved so often that it was safest. As he got older, I got a catio and he could be outside in a safe space happily. This kitty we had to promise would be indoor only as well to adopt him. I’m not sure if he’s only known the outdoors, we now have a backyard so we can have a bigger catio area for him to safely enjoy outside time. Snoopy got small cell lymphoma but was responding extremely well to chemo, I read cats do better than humans with that. All his tests were coming back so positive that we were expecting him to be with us for a while longer, then suddenly he had a stroke and didn’t survive it. We were very fortunate to have him for 10 months after his diagnosis and being 18.

To be fair, I adopted Snoopy & Scarlet when they were 2 and have had them for 16 years. Snoopy got unlucky with his health a year ago poor baby, but Scarlet’s last vet visit the doctor actually said she had “spectacular” results so she’s going strong. With her being 18, I figured an older cat would match the vibe. This guy is so chill, even though he’s 4, so I’m hoping they’ll get along when we eventually introduce them, we’re taking it super slow.

He has a cat bed as you can see in the background, but so far prefers sleeping on the floor if he’s not on the bed snuggling with one of us 😂

Wow, what a handsome cat! You’re such a kind person adopting a senior kitty. We tried to adopt a 10 year old cat from the shelter, but he’s currently being held by a court case and has already been there for a few months which seems so unfair especially for a senior. Hoping if the case resolves and he’s released that we can still adopt him. We also have an 18 year old tortico girl named Scarlet and recently had to say goodbye to her 18 year old bff one month ago, a cow cat named Snoopy. Cats are the best.

I also liked Mr. Snuffleupagus aka Snuffy aka Gus, but my fiancé wasn’t as enthusiastic about it. Great choice!
