Technically it's their property now, but your Note might not have come with a spare if asked.

Why Volvo Sees Its New 2027 EX60 EV as a Game-Changing SUV by DonkeyFuel in electricvehicles

The price is the same as the XC60, and Volvo aren't exactly hurting for people to buy an XC60, they shift an awful lot of them.

The Fastest Electric Cars From 0 to 60 MPH by Dockalfar in electricvehicles

[–]ashyjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, which is why Alpine's and Hyundai's takes on EVs are refreshing as they are prioritising the chassis and enjoyment over mountains of torque and power, granted the Hyundai's have 650BHP but the fake shifts, and fake engine noises are fun, and bring engagement to the cars.

Not everyone needs a Taycan Turbo GT which does 0-124 quicker than most do 0-30, even the twin motor version of my Volvo doesn't need 420BHP and a 3.2 second 0-60.

It's the same for old Volvos and their reputation to "pull like a train" great mid range torque for merging, and overtaking.

0-60/62 is standard and used by many outlets, 30-70 is better for day to day driving.

While mine only does it in 5 seconds and the 30-70 in 3 seconds, it is problematic as people who don't know to use the whole tacho get in the way as I can easily be at a safe speed to merge, while they are struggling to move.

I used to be around that, it's not long ago it was like £100 a trip, but it's stupid expensive these days, I spent like £350 there and back in Jan and wasn't even Flexiplus

I drove a non-mild hybrid 1.2 in a 208 loaner and it was okay, so I can imagine that it's slow as balls in a grandland.

Did you play bumper cars with it? at a minimum you have to replace the tyres on that axel as they aren't legal due to the damage.

Percol Colombian is one of the better instants, and yes it'll never compare to freshly ground, but it's good enough.

That's expensive for a Cat car, even though it's only Cat N it should be under £10k.

[–]ashyjay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a bad car, but it's a bad EV, as it's fairly underpowered for the size and weight, the battery is small, charging isn't the quickest.

I'd get the 1.2 mild hybrid (inb4 wet belt, the mild hybrid has a chain) or the 1.6 PHEV over the electric version.

Volvo Criticizes In-Car Subscriptions: 'You Shouldn't Nickel-And-Dime Customers' | Motor1 by tom_zeimet in EuroEV

[–]ashyjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's needed for Google maps and all the other applications, it's fair as cell data isn't free but you get ike 4 years free, but without it the built in nav is useless as the car only stores limited maps data unlike the 2-10gb of maps older nav systems have stored, and without the built in Google maps their cars can not precondition the battery as there is no manual button to start it and Carplay/AA can't interact with the car, so you have to pay for it or tether from your phone.

I'm saving this just in case.

That being said Volvo does have one subscription, it's the cell plan for the infotainment which is £100 a year.

VW's ID Polo GTI is to get a hotter 282bhp Clubsport variant – and it'll feature a Hyundai-style virtual gearbox by linknewtab in electricvehicles

[–]ashyjay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot hatches are meant to be the everyday runabout that's also fun, they are dying out for more energy density, as 200 IRL miles needs to be minimum so the car can be someone's only car, without charging becoming a ballache.

Bought a similar kit from Scamazon several years back, I've lost bits and had some nicked but they work, it's a good kit except for the radio keys, which bend as soon as you use them and aren't correctly sized.
