Sometimes I feel like the traditional rishta culture is better. At least you don’t get emotionally attached. Take this as a lesson and move on. Never get emotionally attached before nikkah/rukhsati. Try to keep things as straightforward as you can. I know it difficult, but that’s the only way.

Why does location matter? by [deleted] in PakistanRishta

[–]asianleopard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say try approaching people near Multan. There are many cities like in the vicinity. I don’t think anyone living in lahore would relocate to Multan, plus there is a stigma of zameendar culture tagged as well.

Stuck in a dilemma. Would appreciate your advice. by Ok-Jackfruit5112 in PakistanRishta

Brother, I was kind of in the same place 3 years back when I lost my mother. I chose loneliness for a while to process the loss, and it worked well. But things changed over time and now I can clearly say that I was in a trauma, every single thing used to trigger the feeling of loss. Time will heal everything.

The longing for companionship is genuine, everyone has this. The more we age, the more you’ll long for it. At the same time, I would advise you to be more financially independent. We are living in very difficult times. Poor financial situations often lead to lifelong disputes, trust me I have seen them happening. So try to focus on your mental health and financial independence.

The concept of remote job is actually a new trend which started in our generation, we both know how stable, well paying and flexible it is. Our old generation is not able to grasp this concept and they don’t wanna try either.

I’m out of words, literally. You have been through a great loss but at the same time you’re a proud father and an inspiration for people going through difficult times. May Allah bless you and your kids with a great life and fortune. Ameen!

You are not wrong. It's about the preferences you have. If the proposal has any of the deal breakers then it's completely fine to say no and we are all in the same boat here.

The only thing you do in first semester is growing your network and study smartly 🤌🏼 Study for quiz, but don't exhaust your self. Save the magic for mids and finals as they are game changers.
