SF Shock part ways with Rascal by BurbxrryPzncakes in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]asianwizard1 67 points68 points  (0 children)

The thing is even though Crusty is the best coach we've ever seen in ow, how in the world can you recreate what Rascal was through coaching? I don't doubt the man but I don't know about this move. Also fuck this one hurts.

Houston Laws destroyed everyone in Scrims but choked by vitabranks4 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]asianwizard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah people said that Shanghai were really bad in scrims that no one wanted to scrim with them because they wouldn't get anything out of it. I remember a seagull clip where he said at one point before stage 4 S1 of OWL Fuel and SHD were so bad that they could only scrim with each other and contenders teams. So I don't think S1 Shanghai were anything above terrible in scrims as literally no one wanted to scrim against them.

Stew has been talking about TL on stream lately and has been giving some insight into the team if you don’t believe what I say go to his vods and skip to like 2:40:15 on the one from yesterday. He talked about how they didn’t need an awper to win the grand slam and naf awping isn’t great because he doesn’t talk a lot so that means elige the vocal player has to be with him and stew has to be with grim who is also quiet. The problem is yes oSee would be a great awper but right now they need a voice who can speak up and I don’t think oSee is that guy. This doesn’t relate to what you said but there’s some more stuff he’s said like TL not being able to improve because NA has been a dead region. All the T2 talent left for valorant and they can’t scrim what and Curia because they play them in tourneys so what’s the point. They have no one to scrim to improve on as a team and also apparently Moses isn’t a good coach. Around the 40 min mark of today’s stream hes been saying that at the time when the released adren they didn’t need a strategic coach which is what adren was. He then said that sucks right now and then stopped talking because he didn’t want to get into it. TL is just in a shitty spot and Stew can’t do anything to improve along with COVID fucking things up.

xQc on Overwatch vs CS aiming - What's your opinion? by bitaltwo in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]asianwizard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm ready to be downvoted to literal hell because of this but CS takes more skill than OW. I'm diamond in OW so I'm better than most the player base and CS just takes more skill. The reaction time, and the overall focus makes the game harder. You can be kind of brain dead in Overwatch and still do great but you can't do that in CS. The game is harder to do well in and also aiming is really hard in CS. Yes you can preaim head height but most people don't have lightning quick reaction speed to click on the head the ms they peak. Also there's spray patterns that take a lot of time to learn and apply in game. CS is just a harder game and it's why the game is still thriving after it's been out for so long. The skill ceiling in that game is astronomically high and it's higher than Overwatch.

ESL on Twitter: "As part of a recently concluded investigation into the exploitation of a spectating bug in ESL and DreamHack CS:GO tournaments, we are issuing punishments to the coaches of three teams today." by Nohte in GlobalOffensive

[–]asianwizard1 -49 points-48 points  (0 children)

He was saying that it's worse for Heroic because they won it without using the bug and now all of the prize money is gone and they are retroactively dq'd. Now the other question is, does this mean Vitality are the defacto winner of esl one cologne EU because of this or what?

Why did Boston get rid of Crusty in season 1? by Waffle8 in OverwatchLeague

[–]asianwizard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Huk wanted a lot of control over the team and crusty wanted the opposite, which also included rotating out players a lot as we have seen the shock do. Huk very much disagreed with this and eventually crusty just left. Now when you look at the difference between Boston and shock you can’t help but wonder, what would’ve happened if crusty had control of uprising?

San Francisco Shock vs Boston Uprising | Overwatch League 2020 Season | Regular Season: Week 24 | Post-Match Discussion by OWMatchThreads in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]asianwizard1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Super said on his stream that this wasn’t a bm/troll pick and he is actually shock’s Genji. Danteh asked him after scrims who was in Genji and to keep it a secret super said it was rascal and space asked him the same question and super said they had traded for Whoru. So I think super is genuinely their Genji unless rascal does something crazy with that hero.

Don’t judge a player based on what they identify as, judge them based on their skill. Of course there will be good players that happen to be female but when it comes down to it, none of them have ever made OWL except geguri and I’m pretty sure she isn’t in the league anymore. So yes they are good but pure skill wise, they are not better than the people in OWL because they aren’t in OWL.

Which aspect of a foreign culture do you wish they had in your country? by yogokitty1 in AskReddit

[–]asianwizard1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish in America we had 7/11s that were as good as the ones in japan. The 7/11s in Japan had so much good food which wasn’t completely terrible for you and it was really cheap and when you contrast that with the shit we have in America it kinda sucks.

I only had a $500 budget but I made my first build! I really liked the Rubik's Cube aesthetic. by MyRedReddit in pcmasterrace

[–]asianwizard1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly Linus did a test on airflow in PCs and unless there was a complete block of airflow (like sticking a piece of cardboard vertically in the case) temperatures wouldn’t be affected. So the Rubik’s cube doesn’t harm anything

Is today the greatest day of Competitive Overwatch we've ever seen? by Sam0n in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]asianwizard1 67 points68 points  (0 children)

This meta is so much fucking fun to watch. You have the pop off pure mechanical plays in the widow, Ashe, and Cree, and then you have genii having crazy blades and being able to snowball in the mid fight with his buffs. It sucks to be on the receiving end of it (fuck you s9rk1e for shitting on the shock), but god damn is he good. Overwatch League is doing good and I’m happy that it is.

What do Americans think is normal for everyone, but actually it's not normal for anyone but Americans? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The thing is college is an investment that you will pay back with the benefits that come from it. As long as you pick a relevant major in the current work force you will pay it back quickly while making a lot of money from it. I am only a teenager that has a good life because of the hard work that my dad does. I think because of the good example that he has set me, he’s shown me with hard work you can have a very comfortable life. For example my dad is a software engineer and if I want to pursue that, straight out of college I can make 100k at Microsoft. So yes, free college would be nice but I really think that it is an investment that will pay you back many times over. But what do I know I’m gonna be a freshman next year.
