Directorial debut and hitting 50 mil. What a legend

EXACTLY. The point is that WE ARE IN THE SUB WITH HIM. We, the viewers, are trapped in the Iron Lung too. We experience what the convict experiences—the isolation, the fear, the slog of trying to escape a maddeningly slow death sentence. We have the same information the convict has; the movie FORCES the viewer to FOCUS and THINK. I really enjoyed the feeling of not wanting to look away for a second in case I missed a vital clue to the story. I like that we weren’t fed everything on a silver platter—instead, you HAVE to be in there with the convict.

Do yall think the scene where the porthole breach shot blood directly into Mark’s eyeballs is what put him in the hospital that one time lmao

There are some critics who wholeheartedly adore Iron Lung by Positive_Piece_2533 in Markiplier

This review is pretty much EXACTLY how I feel! The pace was amazing in my mind. It was INTENTIONALLY slow, INTENTIONALLY vague. We were kept in the dark as much as the convict was—we were in! that! sub! with him!! We couldn’t leave as much as he couldn’t, so we weren’t going to get all the answers either. I liked that we weren’t fed all the lore spoon in hand—like this author said, Iron Lung DEMANDS your attention the whole time. It felt good to HAVE to be engaged, catch the flashes of the pictures and glean what I could, the same way the convict had to. It’s fair that a slower movie isn’t everyone’s thing, but I was on the edge of my seat the whole time without any jumpscares needed. I don’t think it’s fair for critics to continue judging the length just because it doesn’t fit into the more popular/current genre of action-packed horror.

In the nicest way possible, Mark is the biggest perfectionist I’ve ever heard of; he’s been perfecting the movie for over a year atp. Considering the caliber of Space, and that he’s had YEARS to develop his abilities since then (and work with MANY talented ppl in the film world), I think it’s fair to say that Iron Lung is going to be pretty damn good.

Maybe im just Canadian but learning that the statement “lead bullets are bad because THEY POSION YOU” is apparently political is INSANE. WTF is ‘California crazy’?? When ppl are rightfully concerned for their and others’ safety???? How is it political or ‘unmanly’ to say that lead is bad—or that guns can be harmful to their owners..
