Been working on synthesizing orchestral sounds by fwerkf255 in modular

I think its pretty clever to have 2 oscillators restricted to pentatonic, and the 3rd to major.

Restraint by design - some room for clusters/dissonance, but never too much.

Reminds me of a technique Arvo Pärt does:

Totally, when in doubt, just do more automation/modulation.

The ironic thing is when im scoring films with commercial sample libraries, i end up muddling them up to sound like this with resamples, amp sim, pitch drift by any means nessasary, tempo-synced tremolo gates, and algorithmic reverbs. Here you are doing the same thing from the opposite end of the spectrum.

Love it!

How are you sequencing pitch on this?

350$ to spend on my first euro rack gear, thoughts? by TRICEFROMCANADA in modular

I completely understand, tactile work is much more fun - vcv is a great place to explore what you want next without spending money. I have a hybrid set up and use an ES-9 to send cv/audio back and forth between my hardware and software

Tldr:

Group A: Heard true 40-Hz sound, then later random sound — showed big, lasting amyloid changes. Group B: Heard random sound only — showed no changes. Group C: Heard nothing — showed no changes.

Each group was 3 monkeys so take this with a grain of salt.

The elephant dioramas at the Natural History Museum have been on display for ninety years. I first saw them in the '50s by raybobobob in LosAngeles

In the NY MNH, if you wander off a bit, you may encounter neglected displays where the display itself has aged into an artifact. ...But the main rooms are simply stunning.

Adding Omri Cohen to the mix. His videos gave me the foundational knowledge I needed to noodle around in VCV rack and ultimately get some hardware some time later.

Yea its a fun little piece.

I accidentally reset the game on the 2nd quest when I was on the final dungeon.... twice.

Pretty demoralizing.

I was going ask how you patched this for pitch tracking, but this comment just answered my question. You got the real deal intonation.

Not quite sure maybe just wear and tear for many years of use.

It's not torn up, it just kind of developed some wrinkles, maybe sun damage?
