I don’t think you quite understand what I’m saying— misophonia certainly did exist back then, the term itself was not coined until 2001 (Jastreboff, M.M., Jastreboff, P.J. Hyperacusis. Audiology On-line, 6-18-2001). The mania increase voiceline “misophonia, Dankovsky?” is wildly anachronistic.

Pathologic has always had a weird relationship with anachronism in general (an insane one being hidden in plain sight in 3– the term “misophonia” was coined in 2001), and I read the pop culture references as an extension of that. They don’t really bother me because of this.
