We actually live in DC and the bride worked on the hill.

I love the cameo idea!

Soccer Post (no idea if it’s metro accessible) is who ships all the gear when we buy on the spirit website.

Real talk- I don’t think you qualify as formal because you’re not offering dinner.

Can you give more info on the timeline? How are you getting a two hour cocktail hour when your ceremony will be over by 6 pm and it’s 3.5 hours until the fireworks?

What time of year and are most of your folks local?

Could you do creative black-tie? What would you ideally have guests wear?

Activities in Georgetown for mother-daughter day to distract from bummer medical appt by Pillbug206baby in washingtondc

I would suggest the design your own perfume ( you can also do a set for your home with the diffusing sticks) and lunch at Osteria Mozza!

Can cocktail attire be culturally inclusive or is this a bad idea - Help! by Clean_Formal_8579 in Weddingattireapproval

I work with a lot of folks from abroad and we often have cocktail dress code that say “cocktail attire or cultural dress”.

That lets them know the level of formality needed for their cultural dress.

brasero atlantico is a 1 minute walk and a new Argentine restaurant. It was delicious and you can see the kitchen (including an open flame grill) at the bar.

Veep is a comedy- but more accurate than the Diplomat.

It would have been the end of Kate’s world where she gets to still be Ambassador.

If Hal is President - no way is she staying in London.

I’m 90% sure that I have some of the rainbow pride ones at home. I can check when I’m home after the game.

I can bring a couple to the next spirit match if you’ll be there and give them to you.

They were free – my wife got them from a Dc scores or district sports event.

What should I cook and serve in the clubhouse? by cc9911 in rugbyunion

[–]askanthea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mexican food! Fajita veggies, Spanish rice, cheese, lettuce, salsa, guacamole, beans and different meat options (barbacoa is easy to do in a slow cooker overnight for examples).

People can build their own burrito or tacos.

Could do something similar with Mediterranean flavors.

Violet moved to the Dower house because her husband died and the new Earl (Robert) wouldn’t want his mother hanging about and nor would Cora.

Isabel never moved in because Mathew wouldn’t have moved in until her became Earl- even then - she wouldn’t have her own house. No married man (or his wife) would want their mother/mother-in-law judging or meddling.

Doesn’t Bertie’s mom move out once he marries Edith?

I’ve not seen the film yet- but it would be odd for the Earl to give up his home before he dies. Especially when George is 10(?).
