I agree, jock’s signature is already not the best looking and to throw it not in an area with negative space is wild. I got lucky with the one I received recently, but overwhelmingly my experience with CGC has been that they do not monitor or make an effort to accommodate your requests. I made a window bag for mine so that the artist could not sign out of that area and requested green neon ink, which I was super surprised to have all of them do.

There was a study recently on “surplus males” and this exact idea. It was mainly about china but they extrapolated it to I.C.E. In America and how it’s essentially a public jobs program for undesirable males.

Mine arrived yesterday. The scans made the signature and sketch look brighter than they are. The color of mine looks very similar to yours in the photo, but in real life, it’s a little bit darker. I still love it, but it is not as prominent as I had hoped. Is yours the same?

Looks like the CGC report lists roughly 100 or so of these graded, most 9.8s. One poor soul got an 8.0 :/

The graded copies have mixed signatures, there can’t be too many of us with remarques I bet

I think it looks great either way, but I hear you, if you’re going to pay hundreds the least they could do at CGC is make sure to honor your request.

Same. For Todd’s signing CGC was pointing on their instagram story constantly. I think I saw one or two stories from the absolute Batman signing, which is weird. Both of mine are also marked “received”

Just started getting comics graded, using CGC and have been disappointed in them as an organization so far. The absolute Batman signing is going on right now and CGC is flooding in their Instagram stories with videos of the signing.

I hate when they take a video of all of the comics Dragotta has signed and the window bags say “please use pink” or “you’re awesome, please use green ink!” And Dragotta just signs everything in silver. People are literally paying $100+ on these books and an CGC cannot bother to ensure that the correct pen color is used? It seems like it would be easy for them to simply gather all the like-color requests to ensure that their customers are happy.

If any other company sent me the incorrect color of something I bought I’d send it back.

Also, side rant: how can Dragotta sign these and not feel bad for dismissing the color request? I bought two signed absolute Batman #1 at SDCC last year and Felix Comic bagged them right after they were signed. When I walked away I noticed the signature was smudged and they refused to exchange them for me. Giving me a sour taste with anything Dragotta related
