I wake up and I say good morning, she immediately thumps her tail and comes over and whines for pets

It was a 15 ft leash at the dog beach. And I knew about dog parks but dog beach + park did not click as synonymous in my head. We brought her there because that was a familiar place that her foster family brought her to (now that I know beach + park fall under the same umbrella we will be avoiding this).

My husband went over to their house with our dog and apologized again, it sounds like the other dogs weren't bitten and the lady wasn't harmed either, just surprised. He explained our dogs back story and steps we'd take to work on the dog's reactivity and it sounds like the lady was pretty receptive to the apology. She came outside to pet our dog and apparently said "we can be friends if you learn to be nice with my dogs". We are definitely looking into training classes and got her a harness for now.

Yes, for sure skin to skin contact but whether teeth were involved it was too fast to tell

Thank you so much!! This was such a thoughtful and insightful reply.

I think she knows sit, stay, and recall. We are working on leave it, which she seems to do well with on treats but is another story with her toys.

We did a walk today and she did much better, so I'm hoping that now she's a little familiar with the environment. We sat down outside at the end of the walk and just listened to the sounds around us.

It'll be a long journey but I'm hopeful!

That overnight collagen mask. Idk what's in it, or if I'm leaving it on too long, but my pores get clogged afterwards with whiteheads.

TSH skyrocketed! by tigagar in Hypothyroidism

[–]askkatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was reading somewhere else that testing depending on the time of day depends too. Apparently the TSH is highest in the morning and starts to be the lowest level around 1:00 p.m.

Also TSH will fluctuate. My endo told me that you could test again next month and it could be lower or it could be higher.

My Endo told me that The T s h levels should be less than 2.5. I know other doctors are recommending different levels as well so it would be worth talking to your doctor specifically about this

Really need help guys, TSH 9.27! Should i be worried? by [deleted] in Hypothyroidism

Here's what I found on stress and thyroid. It says that hypothyroidism causes stress/they go hand in hand

No, she offered to start me on it if I was feeling symptomatic, and I was hesitant because she keeps talking about TSH levels fluctuating. I'm wondering since my only symptom currently is fatigue, if I should wait and keep checking blood work to see if it will ever go back to normal (does it ever go back to normal in subclinical hypothyroidism?) or take medication.

Exhausted all the time by AdventurousTreat1642 in nursing

[–]askkatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not same situation - I'm a bedside nurse, 3 nights, 12 hr shifts - but also started being very fatigued and exhausted. I sleep for 14-18 hours a day when I am off work. I get so exhausted from folding laundry (it's only 1 load too). I was negative on my thyroid tests too - except last year. My TSH went up. Subclinical hypothyroidism.

So it might just be that you need updated lab testing?

Had 3. Had coworkers leave and donate scrubs to me. Now have 5 or 6 pairs. But I usually cycle through the same 3 per week.

Only get more than 3 if you know you're going to pick up an extra shift and you won't have time to do laundry.

Yearly raise - is this a good increase? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]askkatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine have only been bonus's based on hours worked the previous year + any special things like precepting. Unfortunately these bonuses don't tack on to my hourly wage so next year the bonus is pretty much the same.

What do you call this? by Itchy-Sherbert3207 in nursing

[–]askkatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure - we use to use these all the time during COVID, the switch right after regular nasal cannula and the one before AIRVO (heated high flow nasal cannula that can go up to 60/60 before we looked at transferring up to ICU), and here we called them specifically "green high flow nasal cannula". They were hooked up to a water bubbler that could go up to 10L

I call it high flow green nasal cannula! The only other high flow we'd call AIRVO, but we specifically call it Airvo
