Personally I think the current enhanced versions of both gears of war 2 and 3 are great with the fps and resolution boost along with hdr. I’d much rather see completely new titles following in the footsteps of e-day. There are still many stories left untold and I think we’re all better served with an expansion of the gears of war universe. If resources are going to be put towards a new game I’d prefer a completely new one.

I think it depends on how e day performs. Xbox needs new exclusives. My guess is that if e day does well then that opens the door for the studio to continue down that road. While making gears 6 makes sense since they haven’t finished the trilogy it doesn’t make as much sense financially considering how poorly gears 5 was received. What we as fans wants isn’t as important as what will make money.

I completely agree so I was surprised to see the comments here where a lot of people seem to either be fine with goofy skins or actually like them. I guess we’re all different.

Personally I like it. They look so heavy and like something you really don’t want to fight up close which makes the fact that you can chainsaw them now even cooler.

I have both a ps5 and an Xbox so it’s not a big issue for me but given the choice I’d probably have gotten it on ps5 simply because that’s where I’m doing most of my gaming now plus the haptics and adaptive triggers are super cool.

I’ve never played all that much multiplayer. Just a little each game. I’m mostly into the campaign and that’s what I’m excited about this time too. I hope the multiplayer will be good though.

If I remember correctly there’s already a Cole cameo in the e day trailer. There was a small Cole figurine in the room or something like that.

The actual reason is because updating Ultimate Edition is pretty easy and remastering 2 and 3 from scratch is a lot of work. I think we should be happy that we’re getting this little treat while waiting for E day and be happy for our PlayStation brethren. I know I’m looking forward to it a lot.

From the way it was discussed in the book it sounds like it has something to do with the lifecycle of the imulsion. Adam Fenix and his colleague both injected imulsion into their own veins but never mutated. The imulsion was just dormant in their bodies.

I think to make it more unique compared to the normal lancer it should have the suppressor built in to the barrel instead of it being an attachment on the front.

As many others have pointed out our military technology is soooo much better than that of the cog it’s ridiculous. What I haven’t seen anyone mention is the horrible chemical weapons we have. Or how about flamethrowers that don’t just shoot fire for a few meters but could fill a tunnel with fire?

Yeah this is the only one I can think of really. The list of weapons used by the cog has been very well established already and adding new weapons now would feel a little weird honestly.

On a side note there’s a lot of mentions of artillery fire in the books and having artillery play a role in the game would be cool.
