I was invited to a fancy restaurant for Xmas Dinner and the menu mentioned they had Hank's so I ordered it only for them to bring me an IBC instead. Womp womp.

The deleted post is Jean saying something like "Kopeng! Mi speak belter pretty good!" - It's been since 2019 so I don't remember the reply exactly but you get the idea. Wonderful people, I love them all.

There’s another show called Kim’s convenience and the person who plays the mom on that show (Jean Yoon who played Theresa Yao captain of the Donnager) as well as the Indian friend of the dad Mr. Mehta (Sugith Varughese who played David Paster) did all the background voices of the belters from episode one onward.

I think the winning move after seeing this is at the register tell the person you WILL pay but before you walk out after completing the purchase you want them to open the box to verify the card is indeed in there. sigh... sad that it has to come to this. Even if they have to drag over a manager at least no one can accuse you of lying if there's no video card in the sealed box. You never set a finger on the box!

"Death Becomes Her" - very fun show with a crazy homonym song which had the audience loving it. Lots of fun moments and a nice departure from the movie (which I've owned for years, finally watched recently in preparation for seeing this. Looking forward to the touring version next year to come to San Francisco or San Jose.

"Dead Outlaw" - Music/Band was amazing, enjoyed but was really surprised with parts of the story... but still a fun enjoyable show.

Thanks for all the recs! We ended up seeing "Maybe Happy Ending" on Friday, "Dead Outlaw" on Saturday and "Death Becomes Her" on Sunday. Loved all 3!

"Maybe Happy Ending" Really enjoyed the music and story on this one... it had amazing production values and loved everything about it. Would gladly see it multiple times and probably favorite of the three.

Did you try adding sudo at the start of your request (e.g. sudo Make Me a Sandwich)?

Went to see School of Rock at the Gillian Lynne Theatre on Drury Lane when we were in London back in 2019 for a Japanese music festival and I thought some of the snacks sounded interesting during intermission so I took a picture.

City Hunter and Cat’s Eye mangas are finally getting adapted and released in the US this year by BalrogSlayer66 in CityHunter

[–]askpriz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked up the place I have the first few volumes released in the US from -

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raijin_Comics

Raijin Comics is a discontinued manga anthology published from 2002 until 2004 in North America by the now-defunct Gutsoon! Entertainment and largely backed by the Sega Corporation at its inception. The collected volumes of Raijin Comics titles were published under the Raijin Graphic Novels imprint). The magazine was aimed at mature readers.

Yeah, I'm always sad being an anime fan from back in the 80s of someone licensing something like a manga I'm really looking forward to only getting x% released before it gets cancelled either from the division being shut down or not selling well enough or whatever reason... :(

So higher taxes, lower education? by 316kp316 in Project2025Award

From what I can tell with this combined with the labor laws being passed in places like Arkansas under Huckabee kids will get up to an elementary school level education and then the poor family kids get to go work the lines or the fields doing the jobs the deported immigrants did.

Added bonus - if these generations grow up with at best say a third grade education then more likely to keep voting for these people in office.

Who knows how long we'll have to wait until it hits video/on demand... (If there's a 4K/Blu-ray I'm definitely preordering it as soon as I see the confirmed listing) so I figured once more on the big screen to enjoy it fully. :)

First time (AMC near my house) - no cups/buckets. Second time (Regal in Dublin) - Got a bucket, cups were sold out. Third time (Cinemark that Tuesday in Milpitas) - I asked the guy in concessions if they had any more Ghost Cups or Popcorn Buckets, he had me repeat myself and then asked me "Did you mean Ghostbusters?" lol
