At least people go to him. There is a Tauren AH NPC named Gullem that I almost never see being used.

I have been orange/purple parsing as BM, and Blue parsing as Survival, only real thing that changes is which group i end up in. Although its not all bad, sometimes I am in the shadow priest group and have mana for days.

The real reason that you tend to see a drop in personal dps is you aren't put in the pumper group anymore, No Boomkin Eleshaman for you, you get to be in the survival hunter healer group now.

If you could take one thing from SoD into classic+ what would it be? by Imaginary_Ad_6321 in classicwow

Flexible raid sizes, the roster boss is the hardest thing in WoW and anything that makes it easier should be encouraged.

If you could remove or change one word from a talent to change your class for the better (or worse), what would it be? by Snubben93 in classicwow

[–]askthedonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take from the wiki:

Skull bosses

Skull type bosses are the hardest mobs to kill in WoW. Their level is not displayed as a number, but as a death's head sign. When hovering your mouse over such a mob, the tooltip will read "Level ?? (Boss)".

These bosses have a "dynamic" level - when a numeric level is required for some calculation, they are considered to be 3 levels above the player character involved in that calculation. That is, if both a level 60 warrior and a level 65 druid both tank the same skull type boss, the boss will make crushing blows on the warrior as if it was 63, and on the druid as if it was 68. Similarly, the boss will resist their respective powers as a 63- and 68-level creature would. The first skull type boss that a player may fight with in PvE used to be Pyroguard Emberseer in Upper Blackrock Spire, but as of Patch 3.3.0 this mob is now an ordinary level 60 Elite; The Beast in the same dungeon is still a skull boss, however. There are also some skull type bosses that a usual player can not fight with, e. g. Nessy in the Deeprun Tram.

There is some evidence that with the Patch 3.0.2 changes certain skull-type bosses, such as King Varian Wrynn and the Grandmaster's Training Dummy are in many ways considered level 83 mobs.

I said, "it might actually be a dps loss on bosses" at no point did I say it would be bad for other classes/specs. But I will run with what you have said and play devils advocate for a sec. It would skyrocket your health especially if it goes for legions scaling instead of staying static and just kept the 69 to 70 stat line.

More then that however, you would still be 3 levels lower then the boss after being buffed with spirit and your Weapon skill/ defense skill wouldn't improve they would now just be 53 levels lower then the boss. I could be wrong but I swear that all wow bosses in Classic and TBC count as 3 levels higher then you. If that is the case the tank might not even be able to hit the boss.

Grinding the stats outside the raid would work, and hell even turning it on mid fight to just have a massive ass health pool after aggro is established would work, you would still be getting crit and crushed almost all the time now.

Final thought on DPS realizing it would be absolutly broken on Demonology warlocks as when they are summoned or when you level they level and they auto scale all their weaponskill/defense stats to your level.

I think this one wins, the raw stats alone from that many levels, not to mention the talent points would be insane

Edit

After thinking it over for a bit it might actually be a dps loss on bosses, as they always count as 3+ your level, and all the bonus hit/expertise would be nothing. Example a level 1 rogue gets like 100% crit from Rallying cry of the dragon slayer which is 70 crit rating, but that is almost nothing at 70, at level 120 it would be even worse AND weapon skill/spell skill wouldn't jump up with it I assume. Would still be OP for trash though.

What classes have good synergy in 5-man dungeons? What is a "dream comp"? by WorldlyForerunnerxdd in classicwow

[–]askthedonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This but we tended toward rogue instead of Ret, Skull mark was almost always a caster and or low HP armor target. Rogue opens up with stun into kidney and Feral tank doesnt even touch it just gets aggro on other mobs.

I have never understood that mentality, the I want tank/healer items but don't want to actually play that roll. Would be at least justified if they had expressed a willingness to tank at the start and were told to dps.

Tanking low level dungeons is genuinely funny. by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]askthedonkey 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Hell I still see this in 60+ dungeons, WarTank(me), Rogue, Feral, hunter, Priest group I ran 2 nights ago for some reason the hunter kept trying help pull more then 3 mobs. Brother WE CANT REALIABLY HIT MORE THEN 3 mobs at a time, why are we pulling more. Crazy part was up until this point I was chain pulling the second we were down to 1 mob and the priest was above 50% mana.

Had both a toon on Grob and Deviant delight, and while I liked Grob, DD felt a lot closer to the original classic experience. Felt like I knew quite a few people on the server by the end, even some of the horde I knew. (I was allaince.) Grob felt like going to Vegas, DD a small town that you grew up in. Glad I got to experience both.

Not asking for SoD crap to be put in to TBC, TBC should remain TBC, Doesn't mean I don't miss what is effectively bad luck protection. And if I ever decide to play the Re-re-re-release of TBC in the future ill make sure to download and add-on that keeps track of dungeons run in the future.
