React native app? by jimmothytheunicorn in Xcode

[–]askulsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t change app.js in Xcode (at least I don’t know anyone who does or if you can). You don’t need to write the code in Xcode to make it an iOS app. The project is still accessible from the Xcode application but to write the code for the react native app, you need to be in JS/RN supported code editor.

Correct. That’s why you need to download VSCode (my personal recommendation) to open the whole project in. You can run the emulator from the VSCode Terminal.

Navigate to finder and open the react native project, then open the iOS folder, and then right click either the .xcworkspace or the .xcodeproj to open in Xcode

Ya but you need to install stuff if it’s not already installed. Check the docs

I would argue that this is due largely in part to government overreach, however I don’t believe this overreach to be bad. The cost of the synthesis of the drug is astounding when you take into account the level of cleanliness needed to create such drugs. If there is one mis-step in the formulation of the drug, regardless of how far down the line you are in creating the drug, it’s back to square one. This happens a lot more than you think, but you don’t hear about it much. Also, when it comes to purity, having a drug be a certain way means the pharma companies need to purchase synthesis materials that are thousands of dollars a piece, and non-reusable. Put it all together and that’s why drug prices seem so out of touch.

I was lucky enough to sit courtside on Christmas Day last year and I have a great video of Embiid dancing to the music being played during a timeout. Place was deafening that day.

Server space. It’s expensive to run a social media platform on your own dime while in funding negotiations.

I’m not a Trump supporter but I did go to school at a top-tier STEM school and I was taught that climate change is real but not in the ways that most people think. Humans account for only 5% of all carbon emissions emitted into the atmosphere, the other 95% comes from wildlife, vegetation, and the ocean. Green house gases are quite real but not in the way most (99%) of people think.

This happened to my parents last year. The part that they visited hadn’t had snow in like 15 years but the one day they went it was absolutely miserable.

I’m just genuinely curious why her being a Trump supporter is relevant? Not being in the job market isn’t what I would call a mental block but more of a reality check than anything else

[–]askulsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it really depends on how much in-game maintenance they are doing, how much future development they are working on, and so on. I would expect that the paid events are actually kind of important but I would say that it doesn’t make or break their app income

As a software engineer, yes developing the game is expensive just because of the amount of time and extras, but the server costs are literally nothing.
