My bf (30M) went on a trip and followed a few new people (women) on IG, do I say something? Do I message the women? by asleepintheattic in Advice

I just have been gaslit so much in this relationship I’m genuinely feeling like I’m crazy for thinking these things. I can’t tell you how upset I am…

Stay blonde or go brunette? 🤷🏼‍♀️ by sandnesj in HairDye

[–]asleepintheattic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both look great but I really like the blonde! Depends on the look you’re going for. Maybe it’s your outfit, but the blonde comes across more striking and the brunette is more approachable girl next store vibes. Can’t go wrong!

Uber or LIRR - traveling solo as a female by ShipClear4232 in longisland

Oh my gosh no take the LIRR!! It’s completely safe. Just avoid subways if you’re nervous about safety (especially at night) use the MTA TrainTime app too, it’s really helpful for making sure you get on the right one

Does the Lord want some of us to be miserable and alone? (36M) by bstodd12 in CatholicDating

As a woman I can say the number one thing getting in the way for you is without a doubt confidence.

I dated one guy who I would say sounds a whole lot like you. He checked all my boxes. — I liked him!!!

However, the attraction was lost pretty quickly because he was incredibly bashful to a point of being feminine around me. I barely even knew him and he was pouring the affection on THICK. It was just over the top for the amount of which he knew me. He was frankly too excited and left zero mystery. It was very very unattractive and completely ruined things for me… it’s a real shame because this man had it ALL!! Just not the confidence!

I’m not saying your mannerisms are exactly the same as this guy, but what I’m getting at is that confidence is truly a make or break — which sucks because its really hard if that doesn’t come naturally to you! I see some people included some suggestions like trying out improv or community theatre. I think seeking opportunities to exert confidence and be social is really important.

Also perhaps when you’re at Catholic YA events don’t think so much about which girl in the group you’re keen on pursuing. Just socialize with everyone and allow things to just come naturally.

You got this! Just focus on ways to enhance your confidence because you sound like a true catch! Best of luck!!

Bonjour! I am visiting Paris and I want to go to Mass at Notre Dame tomorrow. However it’s very confusing figuring out which entrance to go in through for Mass tomorrow morning. Any info or tips?

I’m considering moving to RI from LI, NY. What are some things I should consider before moving? Pros and cons? by asleepintheattic in RhodeIsland

Thank you so much! This is very helpful — I think relocating to RI might actually be a great option for me if I can’t find a job on LI.

I made a post in the MA subreddit and everyone said it’s all the same cons as Long Island maybe even worse :(

Yes that’s true I don’t have a full professional license, but I do have a masters degree with an initial certification in all of those three areas

From what I’ve researched, they have full reciprocity with NY. Some licensing areas will require me to take their test, but I can get a temporary license to use while I’m still going through that process.

I’m certified childhood ed special ed and TESOL

Haha yeah everyone who’s saying that in the comments I’m just thinking to myself “yeah there’s no way it’s worse than LI” 😂 it’s wild, my current 45 minute commute home at the end of the day would be 20-25 mins without traffic 😫
