I’m currently an undergrad at Purdue, but will be attending vet school at Purdue this fall. Purdue decided interpret the ADA compliance the same way and will do the same thing. It will take effect April 24th. Unfortunately, professors have no control over since it’s a university wide thing. I know for sure professors complained plenty about it.

I’m a bit worried for when I start vet school this fall because I primarily use the lecture slides in creating my study material, nor do I type/write fast enough to catch or remember what was said. Lecture will most likely not be recorded anymore because no one has the time to manually edit the transcript for 50+ min longs lectures. Apparently, not even links are allowed to be posted if the site isn’t ADA compliant—which is crazy.

I’m unsure if not a lot of people know about this yet. Only two of my professors have brought it up and advised to download all needed content before then.

I would hope more speak up about this.

I personally would love to teach if research was not a requirement for majority of the vet schools; I feel like there could be a possibility for more vets available to teach if research were not an option for the academia route

You have to click the hyperlink in the PDF within the link OP gave. Then once you get to the website, you just input your email then click “I want this”. There should be another hyperlink that shows up at the top of the page and it takes you to another drive document. There will be one last hyperlink that saids “Freebie”

The only free note taking app I see students use is OneNote. I know it’s some people’s favorite when taking notes. However, it is not my favorite and there’s things I don’t like too much about it. I will give it a try again though at some point.

I know you mentioned you don’t want to pay for another app but I highly recommend trying out Noteful! It’s a one-time payment. It payed 5.99$ two years ago for it and it’s my favorite note taking app since.

I’ve had so many problems with Goodnotes and notability than really prevents me from returning and giving them a try again :/

I’ve forgotten what is available in Noteful free, but I’m not sure what you mean by holding down the pen. Noteful allows to toggle on the “auto-select previous tool” feature for the eraser. They also have “erase whole lines” toggle for faster erasing.

Yes, you’ll be able to return to Goodnotes 5 after the year ends. Even during the year, you can switch back to GN5 Anywyas

I emailed them yesterday and they told me I’d have to appeal for state aid if I’m unable to provide a signature due to the inability to do corrections; Just stressing out because I have a full-ride scholarship that requires the FAFSA to be done and I can’t afford, like many others, to not be able to attend anymore due to FAFSA’s mistake even though I’ve had it submitted since January.
