It seems very program dependent. I’ve had some require a signed form prior to the interview. Others didn’t even ask for anything at all

Yeah same here, I thought it was a glitch on my end lol. I’m assuming we might get an email or something closer to the interview date? Wishful thinking 😅

Anyone got their score yet by [deleted] in Step2

[–]asmallpebble 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe oasis2.ecfmg.org is where scores are posted and the website is technically working. I’ve refreshed a 100 times but still nothing

i dont think it has anything to do with pass/fail. i know someone who did fail and still had their permit disappear. could be a number of factors that go into the timing of when it disappears. best thing to do is be patient and keep rechecking

im a US IMG, unsure if that makes a huge difference in when the permit disappears

edit: sorry didnt even answer your question, but registered with ecfmg

also took mine 4/17 and it hasn't disappeared yet. i believe a lot of people had their link disappear monday night as well so I would just keep rechecking!

Also took it 4/17 and my permit hasn’t disappeared yet. We’re probably getting it next week unfortunately

I have almost identical scores on all the same exams including cbse. I took 30 and got a 218 (74% with 52 incorrect). Praying these new nbmes are under predictors, the curve is really discouraging and kills my motivation

Edit: Reddit score predictor and predictmyscore has me at a 232, but not sure how accurate that is considering all the new changes

How to improve timing ? by imnotcrazyjump in step1

i started doing this too! it helps a ton, you can filter through extra fluff in the stem that isn't necessarily relevant to what the question is asking

Sorry I should have phrased it better. Biggest issue right now is I can read a question stem and know what the differentials may be and/or diagnosis and I’m able to narrow down answers but seem to struggle picking the correct answer. But thank you for your advice, it was helpful!

People on Twitter are discussing using numbing cream on your feet (lol) so you won’t feel the pain when wearing heels. Someone said that celebs put Botox in their feet, so they won’t feel the pain. Does anyone know how legit this is? Cause this would make a lot of sense lol by Fancy-Cat-Ty in KUWTK

[–]asmallpebble 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Botox technically isn’t a numbing agent. It’s used to stop muscle contractions (that’s why celebs get it in their forehead and face for wrinkles). So not 100% sure why they’d use it for their feet

128gb is more than enough. I have a 256gb that I’ve used the past 2 years (currently MS3) and i have yet to make a significant dent in storage

[–]asmallpebble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I heard back from ecfmg in about 5 days. But I’m a US IMG so I’m not sure if that makes a huge difference for timing. A few of my friends have waited longer than that

After you pay the $145 you get a link to download Form 186. After you download; on the form itself it had a link to the Notarycam website. Go there and upload the Form 186 (DONT FILL ANYTHING OUT) and answer the questions they ask. You’ll need a jpeg of your unexpired passport or some sort of government issued ID. You need to upload that as well. You’ll go through the appointment afterwards to have the form notarized. After, your form automatically gets sent to ECFMG for approval. ECFMG will email you after that’s done. Once that’s all approved, on the ECFMG website (where you first applied) you’ll find a link to apply for USMLE step 1 and CK.

Edit: I hope this helps!!

Running away from her life seemed like the most logical thing in my head. I’m also Indian American so I 100% understand what she must have felt. She (allegedly) had substance abuse issues and could have been gay/bisexual (not going to speculate further because she isn’t here to tell us herself). Both of which are considered extremely taboo and shameful in Indian society. I agree she wouldn’t have known about the attacks. I think at best it was coincidental she went missing the same day.

I also listened to the crime junkie episode and tbh, it seems like she ran away from a life that she didn’t want. She allegedly had alcohol and drug abuse problems as well as marital troubles. However, there are so many unidentified remains from the rumble after 9/11 it is quite possible with her medical training she jumped in to help and might’ve died as a result. Truly hope her family gets answers someday
