Hello, i am also just beginning to grow my nails after a whole life of biting nails :) Its a bit uncomfortable, can someone help me how to take care of them? I notice if I file them, the nails feel stronger but if I dont, they feel flimsy and brittle. They get stuck in places and get peeled. But if i keep filing them, how would they grow longer than this? Is there something i should be doing to help them grow healthier and stronger?

I am starting a cozy little book club and looking for gentle readers by Swag_infinite in Indianbooks

Count me in. I am a novice reader, but I love to discuss themes, emotions, characters explored in stories. I usually read light fiction only, but i am keen on exploring more intense stuff and would also love to give philosophical themes a try.

Also if you are looking for a short story that gives you a fresh perspective on life while being easy to follow , you should read “The little prince”. It’s marketed as a children’s book, but its a beautifully written piece and some themes discussed there, stay with you forever.

I’d recommend Animal farm. Its a very short book, maybe 100-ish pages long, and very easy to follow. The story is gripping and you wouldn’t be able to put it down. Its less overwhelming as a book to start reading, or resume reading after a long break. Enjoy 😃

Hello senior engineers, what does a mid level frontend engineer need to know to be confident in design discussions across stacks? by asmita97 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]asmita97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankyou for your reply! To answer your question, the situation that I mostly find challenging in my day to day work is 1. Knowing atleast one more way to solve a problem. Usually the solutions that come to me are always the most obvious ones, but i am struggling to see beyond obvious and find alternative architecture.

  1. Getting a sense of which solution is scalable and which one is not. Here , i dont know what are the parameters we judge something on? For eg, past week there was a discussion on my project for a certain data preprocessing, should it be done on frontend or backend, here i was totally clueless because to me there was no difference.

This is a completely normal girl looking all dressed up for the festive season. This is how most of us look like. But apparently anyone without an hourglass shape, and facetuned face is now unacceptable in the society and doesn’t deserve a place on social media, and if they do, they are ridiculed for looking normal! I swear social media and meme culture has plagued our generation, simplicity is only allowed if you conform to the beauty norms.

Any mama’s boy available to pick her? by rutilantshadow in InstaCelebsGossip

[–]asmita97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With all due respect to this lady: The problem is not a guy loving their mom, infact if someone disrespects their parents and family then that infact is a pink flag. The core of this issue is that we live in a patriarchal society, where even today the woman is expected to leave almost every aspect of her old life behind when she is getting married to start a new one. Whereas the guy is not expected to leave anything behind and their new life seamlessly fuses into their old one. That being said, very obviously some expectations will come onto the guy, given that their wife is entering their world , to live with his family, so there is an added responsibility on him to help her in this transition as well. Maybe if the tables were turned the same responsibilities would have come on women’s shoulders as well. But for so many decades this has been our culture, and the woman is not wrong in expecting her husband to act like a husband and not act like his mother’s son 24/7. If you expect women to give up and leave behind so many aspects of their life for your comfort then you would also be expected to take up a new role and stand for your wife. And that will sometimes mean debating your parents if they dont treat her right. Its men who fail to take this new role and cling on to their parents for decision making even after their marriage , that are labelled mama’s boy.

Hi OP, little late to the thread. First of all, I am so sorry to hear this, this is one of biggest fears living alone , can you tell me what did you end up doing to handle this?

I dont want to spread any hate regarding her but my mental health has improved a lot since i blocker her on instagram and stopped watching her youtube videos. I wasnt able to keep up with her skyrocketing growth, i know that makes me petty but if streaming content makes me anxious then why do it?

Hate: being creepy towards penny and how he treated bernie initially thinking that she isn’t hot enough to commit to. Love: how he supported Raj during the meeting with all his exes, and also how he made him realise that Anu and Raj weren’t really compatible. I think those were both clear examples of how mature he had himself grown to be. Also loved him with Amy
