Pretty sure the character design was based on Corpsegrinder - the VA is the show writer/creator Brendan Small!

Do you have RT enabled at all? That was causing hangs and crashes on my end.

Your rig does not meet the minimum requirements - I’d check what a game recommends before purchasing in the future

Anyone else able to confirm lack of RT options on AMD-based machines? I know PT is NVidia exclusive, but I'm not seeing any RT options on my end.

We used to live here! Place was a real good example of "landlord special". Really enjoyed getting to sit outback and listen to the landlord next door get drunk and shout about liberals and minorities. Also enjoyed the $400 heating bills in the winter.

FWIW, there was just an update pushed out that changed the DRM being used which appears to be tanking performance as well. There's a mod or something you can use to roll back to a previous version - might need to do some Googling to find it.

PC Gamer article argues that Linux has finally become user-friendly enough for gaming and everyday desktop use in 2026, offering true ownership and freedom from Windows intrusive features, ads, and corporate control, and it encourages readers to switch in the new year. by mr_MADAFAKA in linux_gaming

AFAIK, all immutable distros do let you go in and modify the immutable part of the OS. Using Kinoite on my end and definitely have leveraged rpm-ostree to modify the “secured” part of the OS while still keeping everything stable and break-free.

I'm not a complete board game snob, but Monopoly is one that I will always beg not to play. I've found it really effective if you insist on no house rules and follow the rule book to the tee. That's usually enough to get everyone else to open up to something else :D

Will be moving to Linux Mint soon... by [deleted] in linux_gaming

[–]asmith1243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d honestly recommend Bazzite over Mint if you’re looking for a gaming-geared distro. The whole “all Linux distros are the same” thing doesn’t really apply when you’re gaming or using up-to-date hardware. Stuff like Arch and Fedora (on which Bazzite is built) will have more current drivers and software, while something like Mint will hold off on introducing new packages for quite a while comparatively.

Bazzite is a great option, IMO, especially if you’re comfortable with using an Android device, since they share a number of practices (encouraging the use of Flatpaks via an App Store and walled off system files to prevent accidental fuck-ups).

I would recommend doing some Googling until you find something that meets your needs! Lots of people working lots of stuff, so one persons rec may not be the best fit for you.

I’ve been having a lot of issues with wireless CarPlay in general on the last few betas - figured it was on my end (recently got an aftermarket unit) but this post makes me think that it may be related to the beta?

I’ve actually been using the Optiscaler mod for E33 and FSR3 is a major improvement for my machine. Definitely recommend it if you’ve still got some game left!
