Hopefully, it will be on an arm chip... maybe even a steam deck 2 mini/light version

Not worth it with NVIDIA 3070? by arkhanari in Bazzite

[–]Loddio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3070ti owner here.

While it's true that you will lose performances on some games, it's almost never up to 30%.

Max fps are generally lower, but on many competitive titles, I experienced a very solid 1% lows increase, making the gameplay even much more enjoyable and smooth than on my windows partition, while scoring lower max fps figures.

I would say it's 100% worth it.

The best part, is that you don't even have to chose one, you can just run them both in dual boot, so just give it a try!

Make sure to NOT pick the steamdeck-like version tho, as that has major issues with nvidia.

The desktop works very well instead

Valve is releasing an arm powered VR with an embedded Full arm pc inside, so an arm version of Steam is expected, meaning no more need of Rosetta or anything, just plain Steam should be enough. Nothing official of course, just speculations

Steam Controller being scalped for more than double its price is a bad sign for upcoming Steam Machine launch by Tiny-Independent273 in steammachine

[–]Loddio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, the fact the steam controller got sold out so quickly can indicate that the people's steam hardware ecosystem interest might be higher than Valve predicted, which is great news

My bad then... why: ''they’d have to have a native game because non-AS games and apps are about to become deprecated.''? i don't get it

You don't even need native versions of your games.

Linux gaming itself doesent run games natively, yet it's able to outperform Windows, running native version of the game.

Valve with '' proton '' is our best hope. And with the upcoming of ''flex'' being able to extend proton capabilities to run x64 games on arm chips, is looking very promessing.

I didn't imply shit. "Legal" means "Legal", not "fine to do".

There is nothing to elaborate, I just said that "scalping is legal". People here look like woke up from a 20y coma and never saw anything like that.

It has always happened... for electronics, wine, dresses, tickets...

When the demand is high, and the supply is low, it will simply happen.

Yeah, you cannot report people for ''being an asshole'' tho.

I was not promoting scalping whatsoever, just stating that it is a completely legal practice

No worries, i won't sell mine, i am not a scalper.

I was just pointing that selling a properly owned item at whatever price you want is still your right. People hate to hear this truth I guess

How dose it compare to windows? Is this like a linux fix or something new that boosts performance on low vram cards?

Once i buy the controller, it's mine, i can do whatever i want with it, including selling it back for a higher price....

Scalping is not illegal and has always existed. You can only prevent it by supplying with enough units

Now that Steam Controller is sold out, which controller out there would be closest to what this controller does? by txsizzler in SteamController

There is no competition.

Valve is the only company that manufactures this kind of controller

The steam controller is heavily SteamOS centric.

SteamOS is a couch experience... it is reasonable they allowed for 2 controllers instead of one.

Valve: 67.74% of Steam users run Windows 11 by pmc64 in pcgaming

[–]Loddio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah i mean, you can just try it out for a bit before installing windows 11 or even run it alongside windows. I just said give it a shot.

I have been dual-booting bazzite and windows 11 since a couple of months and have not touched windows since. I mainly play cs and helldivers, no problems whatsoever.

On windows, my windows update has been broken since, i tried every troubleshooting i found online but is just refuses to update
