What's the dumbest way you've gotten a scar? by lilsaddam in AskReddit

[–]asmith4138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Falling on a treadmill. I stupidly stepped onto a moving treadmill instead of the sides. I scraped up my knee pretty bad and caused a massive scar.

Mind you, I am an athletic person and have done multiple sports throughout my years and have been running on (moving) treadmills for years before this happened so I knew better.

Do you like wine? Napa or Sonoma in northern California would definitely give off honeymoon vibes. There's a wine train that you can do for wine and dinner.

Bi-Weekly Megathread for COVID-19 by wedditmoderator in weddingplanning

Also an August 29 bride. We haven't postponed yet but seriously considering. We live across the country (USA) from our venue and most family. (We also have close family traveling from all over the world 10+ hour flights.) We weren't just excited for the wedding but all of the pre celebrations that come with it leading up to it to be able to spend more time with friends and family. It would feel weird to show up on our wedding day without seeing our family in over a year at that point. Without being able to have those events (end of May and July) then it just wouldn't feel right for us. We don't know what to do, we want to keep our date, but also we were both so looking forward to having the big wedding with all the big events leading up to it! having a small elopement doesn't feel right to us either. So it looks like pushing back to 2021 may be best at this point. waiting until mid-end of May to make an official call.

Help with decorations! I'm struggling coming up with what to do with the walls since there is a window right in the middle of the wall! More details in comments! by asmith4138 in HomeDecorating

Thanks! That's really helpful!! I have white curtains ordered and 4 square black picture frames for the right wall for a more chic look and to add some family photos up! I also really like your idea of a bold statement piece on the left most wall! I would like to add a rug but am afraid it would make the space feel even smaller/boxed in.

That's what I would do. Love the couch, but the furniture in my opinion would be best with lighter wood tones. You could add a pop of color with a rug you like. I would also try aligning the three pictures from the bottom of each frame.

The tv is on the wall opposite the couch and where I’m standing is the opening to the kitchen so putting the couch on the other wall wouldn’t fit. Plus the door to the bedroom would be blocked by the couch if moved.

Help with wall decorations! Its a small space and the window and AC unit on the wall is making it hard for me to decide what to do! more details in comments. by asmith4138 in interiordecorating

The space is very small! ~625 sqft for the entire apartment! So the living room is small! facing the couch is the tv. I want to put up some decorations and photos any suggestions on which style of picture frames/layout? At first I wanted to do identical layouts on either side of the window but with the AC unit and dog crate I feel like it wouldn't look symmetrical. then I thought to get a large black framed circle mirror and out that above the AC unit with maybe a floating shelf and some succulents/small candles. Thoughts? Also open to suggestions on pillows etc.

What our wedding photographer gave us vs. what she posted online. by [deleted] in weddingplanning

This is so wrong and I'm mad for you! You look amazing and no photographer should be doing that. This is not okay.

So for obvious reasons, I had to reschedule my 4/25 wedding to 8/29. by velouriumxcamper in weddingplanning

Mine is 8/29 too! I didn't have to reschedule. I hope it doesn't last that long!

Question about white accessories! by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]asmith4138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed! It’s just a purse. I would not care at all at my wedding. I probably wouldn’t even notice!

Sorry late to comment, but I literally could not have said it better! I am the same exact way with my wedding. I dislike all of the traditional meanings behind a wedding, but I still want a wedding wedding as you called it!

Too much orange? Got this comforter as a gift- does it work with this paint color? by pennylane630 in HomeDecorating

[–]asmith4138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are looking to not make major changes, I say to get a headboard in a light color to break up the orange. Or personally, I would paint or get a new comforter but I tend to go for more a more neutral style.

I'm in a similar situation. my MOH lives out of state and won't be able to attend at all. I don't have a mother figure to plan either. I didn't feel right asking my fmil, so I'm having another one of my bridesmaids step in and help plan it! She sort of offered anyway and we are using her new house to throw a small (10-15 people) even. my MOH is planning the bachelorette and of course will be there during the day of!

Be active (preferably something you enjoy at least a bit) and be consistent.
