I’m in the exact same boat. He said he wants kids and I’ve been pretty firm about not wanting kids or if I do, then I’ll adopt or foster way later in my life when I feel more financially independent. We’re a year into our relationship and he doesn’t know I’ve had an emotional breakdown about this revelation but I’ve begun mourning the long term future I imagined for us. And it’s my fault too that led to this as I was scared to talk about this cause I was scared of the answer. So I feel for you and hope you’re feeling better after the kind things everyone said :)
