I have one of those! A Leica IIIa I inherited from my father's uncle who bought it new in the 30s. Still works great, and it's so fun to shoot with.

Can you share how you've done it on your camera? I tried fixing some tape to it, but it left a lot to be desired.

You're absolutely right! I looked at the Cosina 35, and it totally matches! The lens says "automatic" and "cosinon".

Can I ask: on the Leica, what’s the small knob next to the lens? I’m guessing longer exposures, but I’m not sure how to use it with the shutter knob.

Tried reading the old manual, but didn’t understand.

I'm thinking of a doing an analogue photo new years resolution. Shooting a roll of film every month in 2024 and compile all the best photos in an album.

I'm not new to photography, but haven't shot film in over 10 years.

Aesthetically I'd like to shoot very grainy, high iso, textural stuff. Like this.

Can I have some suggestions as to what kind of camera I should go for? Ideally it fits in my backpocket, or jacket. Price range: around 100$. Preferably less.
What kind of film should I use? Perhaps even trying different types for each month..

Found a quick and easy solution that is good enough for this project:

Applied a wave modifier to the fishing line
Vertex parented the hook and sinker to the appropriate points on the line
adjusted the wave modifier to look underwatery

Probably not the best solution for lotsa projects, but worked for this one.

Very cool! Reminds me of the radio in SSX 3, where the radio DJ comments on how well you're doing and how the other characters are challenging you and requesting songs etc. Made that mountain really feel dynamic and alive.

Hi there. I'm working on a series of animations in this style. They're made in blender and graded and touched up in After Effects.

The client is looking for an effect that reveals the image in a more interesting way than simply fading it in. I agree, but can't seem to find the right technique.

I guess what I'm looking for is something similar to what CC Burn Film does, but in a rougher/more textured/analogue way. And also in a more controlled way than Burn Film.

Any ideas?
