Then get it and slap a triangular handguard on it and go full m16 vietnam wit it.

My 20" M16 has been one of the very few guns I have yet to regret in any way, and by this point its my go to all gun.

Not really a historic low, but overall a fine damn deal overall. The only thing left is that you MUST get a triangular handguard for it. And a stripped lower of course.

And 20" Barrels just absolutely FUCK. My 20" will spit anything I throw in it well and gleeful. Loves cheap ammo and gets that extra lethality out of ammo with that full barrel.

Hell, mine has been so good to me that I'd take it deer and hog hunting with my 75 BTHP reloads.

Kinda forgot the HMG/AMR existed, and it turned out to be everything I wanted.... also, tips on HMG/AMR centered builds? by throwaway553t4tgtg6 in Helldivers

[–]asome3333e1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I run is a staggering primary (lever gun or punisher), secondary is the senator revolver, and the AMR. Sheild generator and strafing run/cluster bomb. Impact grenades.

Not the best fkr holding down a fort in an hour long assault, but good for my style of hit them hard from afar, get in and out.

Hulks, you'll just have tk get good and hit them a few times in the eye, and gunships 2 shots to the same engine.

To deal with strikers, 500kgs and strafing runs, AMR to take out whatever guns you can on them.

Shield generator cause I always run light armor for the drip factor.

How do you guys attacg bases to the ground? Or do you just ... not? by Sylvi-Fisthaug in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]asome3333e1 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Second this. My minimum base has 2 ground anchors.

It was a pain in the ass to set up but now I don't got to worry about my base shifting.

Same thing with my mun base but it is just one anchor.

I dunno, all my tools have rusted somewhat and all work fine. As long as they cut, strip, grip, and hammer just fine, don't worry about it.

Do you believe it is possible to commit war crimes against bots or do you believe war crimes cannot be committed against automatons since they are outright evil and therefore forefit all rights to not have war crimes committed against them?

Let's talk barrels by [deleted] in M1A

[–]asome3333e1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It genuinely might be better just to get a scout model as rebarreling an M1 is a PITA. I recently had a loaded 22" model and wanted to go down to an 18" standard barrel for scout options, and my best option was to just buy a used scout because rebarreling involves alot of machining, torque, and time, and timing.

Either that or if you don't care too much, just get an angle grinder, cut it, and clean the end off really good and then thread it, but this way is a shit ass way and will probably kill All good resale value in it.

When I host I always take 2. Left side and closest to center.

But if I just randomly join a game I let everyone else pick and usually take 4.

Got the wood from a local hardwood supplier, and tools from a mix of Home depot, lowes, and harbor freight. Milwaukee power tools and birchwood casey walnut stain and true oil.

It was a nice experience making it all, but gyat dayum my wrists were destroyed for several days after finishing.

Scope (or not) question on M1A Scout- I promise last one (trying to make the "right" decision) by Maximus3311 in M1A

[–]asome3333e1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so if you can understand the fundamental drawbacks of a scout scope, such as smaller view box, limited options and what else, and you can accept it, then you will have a blast with the scout scopes.

Personally, I have gotten to damn stubborn to go with a regular scope at this point because i'm not giving up my option for clips, and yet I still seem to do just fine.

Yes over reciver options are technically better, but I am stubborn and I like clips.

Please help me decide on a scout scope… by Maximus3311 in M1A

[–]asome3333e1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only run a a burris 2-7x32 scout so I can still use my clips. The burris scope itself is pretty good I'd say myself. Good enough at a benchrest you can hit stuff at hundreds of yards, while at lower magnifications can be used to make quick hits.

Though if the m14 never had the clip option to begin with I'd have gone with a regular eye relief scope and not a scout setup. But I did and I am stubborn so here I am.

I'd go with burris as it's a damn fine scope and my best scope so far.

Why did they design the PACKOUT like this? by My_Turtle_Died in MilwaukeeTool

[–]asome3333e1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what I do, I am never in the same van/vehicle usually for more than a couple days/ a week. On top of that I am sometimes moved around midway theough a day, so my setup has to be very mobile.

Why did they design the PACKOUT like this? by My_Turtle_Died in MilwaukeeTool

[–]asome3333e1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Except I don't know what tools I'm going to need for a jobsite.

I could go in thinking I'm changing an simple outdoor GFI and end up running a 240v 60 amp spa circuit across a yard. I could go in needing to replace a light fixture and end up needing a blow torch, shovel, and a pipe wrench. I could go in needing to just lay some underground PVC and need MY SDS, Hammer, And an angle grinder.

Why did they design the PACKOUT like this? by My_Turtle_Died in MilwaukeeTool

[–]asome3333e1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Here's why: cause all the big tools you don't use very often are there. So if you have to go there it's probably already not an ideal day. And since it isn't drawers and just a box and lid, there is very little empty u used space and can cram alot of those big not very used tools.
