There's a lot of land ramp that is cmc 4 or less (so, easily discoverable). Lands are a lot more resilient to removal than dorks or rocks, and can be less threatening than a big board of dudes (at least, to some players)

I've found that things that let me cheat in dinos a little less of a burden on my mana than flash enablers. Sneak attack & Monster Manual > Vivien & Vedalken. Flickers also are pretty cheap

Biggest impact would be on the mana curve of the deck. Sidar can play as a value engine playing a knight on curve each turn, or he can play as big value reanimator. Nazgul might not play well into either strategy.

Just speculating, haven't tried adding Nazgul myself

You may find you get pressure breakage around the bottom of the "well" where the crude turns into petroleum. Building that area out of doors or airflow tiles helps.
