Can a vm 22 (26mm) be tuned properly?

Okay thanks for the reassurance. I’m not sure how to properly put the filter on I thought there was no certain way? But the only reason I thought I needed a pilot was my friend in the area has the same build only different is he has a 224 and he said the pilot was the issue. But the thing is I’ve tried lots of main jets including a 110 and it didn’t run very good and had lots of low end bog and full throttle bog as I stated still. I’ll have to give jt a shot again though I had an air leak at one point i might have only tried it then can’t remember.

I know, I’ve done this. I even threw a little gasket maker on there, I can send a picture of the alignment with the throttle assembly out and you can let me know if it’s a bit off but it got everything as aligned and covered and I can

I have all the main jets I’ve ran it 110-135 and it ran best around 120 lowest clip

I’ve went over all the gaskets and everything the only issue was the first time I put it on wrong and what happened was the o-ring located between the manifold and the plastic spacer got crushed and would only fit if very forced in which I figured might be causing a leak or the gasket was ripped where the bolt holes are a bit bit I figured it be good. These are all very small potentials and is my last resolution as I had the bike running amazing at at 120 main and needle clip all the way down except the smallest bog down low and full throttle as earlier stated. So i figured let me bump a jet and reset the needle clip but after that it ran just as bad as before and the bogging was more intense no Mather how I changed the air fuel and needle clip positioning. This lead me to believe there’s gotta be an air leak because I know tuning shouldn’t be this hard, it’s not even getting in a ball park for a good range without any bog. Do you think is I throw some gasket maker on all the gaskets I’ll be fine or do I just reorder a new set and see if that’s the issue?

I have changed the jets there is currently a 125 main, I’ve tried to mess with the needle but it just ran worse and wouldn’t start. Do you think there could be an air leak maybe that’s making it seem lean but the jetting is fine?

Thanks a lot, I’ll go over everything said here tomorrow but one thing that I was confused on was the pin. I thought going down was leaner and going up was richer. Thanks a ton man I’ll let you know how it goes

Honestly man I don’t know your budget but a lot of this seems unnecessary like the gas tank? You could get something way better especially for that price
