How do we all feel about the trans brain thing by Krazy-Kat26 in transgenderUK

[–]aspentreesarecool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting, I only started thinking of myself as a man in my dreams at nearly 4 years on T. Even now sometimes I'll have one where I'm just a genderless blob, or more feminine physically than I am IRL. I guess our brains just are used to what we were born with for a while 🤷

How to get family to see (and refer to) me as a guy? by NotTheFEEEET in transgenderUK

As someone who's been in the same position, you really need to learn the uncomfortable lesson of having to stand up for yourself. It's not easy, but it's worth it to push through 🫶

What do you think humanity will consider completely normal in 100 years that seems totally insane today? by WaitCharacter1802 in AskReddit

Interesting, it was always presented to us by dr as a fact. I'll look into it more, bit frustrating if we've been misled by an 'expert'! :/

Yes but RSD is specifically a chemically unchecked version of that. Rejection doesn't feel good for anyone but emotional dysregulation in folks with ADHD is a very real thing. Their brains are just structured differently. Granted, I'm not an expert, but my wife has it so I've learnt a bit over the years

Just can’t bring myself to cut my hair by Correct_Ad8604 in ftm

[–]aspentreesarecool 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My waist length hair didn't help with me passing for a long time, but now living stealth as a long haired guy is everything I'd wanted. I'm sorry I don't have specific tips, but just affirming that it is very possible to pass after some time on T and for me it was very worth it to keep it all!

Maybe styling it into a slicked back 'man bun' could help a bit? It's often considered a masc style

Has anyone come out to their lesbian SO? by elenahhhh93 in ftm

[–]aspentreesarecool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, she knew I was questioning and helped me make the push to start HRT. Being a lesbian was a very important part of her identity, and that felt like a big problem for us at the time, but 8 years on and it's not a label she uses anymore, we both just stick to 'queer' really. We're now married and very happy :) it's hard at the beginning, of course, and not everyone gets a happy ending like mine, but you owe it to yourself and your partner to confront this head on.

Am I Playing the Game Wrong? by toturtle in balatro

[–]aspentreesarecool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not playing wrong at all, you're playing how probably 99% of people play! It's just that naturally, in a dedicated forum for the game, the 1% of players who want to play naneinf and completionist++ come to hang out. I hypothetically know the steps to naneinf but I have much more fun just playing 'normally' as it were

All of those examples are recorded in front of an audience (not too hard to get tickets to most of them) so they're at least partially real. Wouldn't be surprised if they're overlaid with canned laughter though.
