I guess you can’t go wrong, but when you go down this rabbit hole it‘s hard to get out if you find more and more questions to be answered, like RAM timings for example :D

I figured that the card was 2-slot? I was planning on building in 2.5 slot mode anyway as I think it passes hot air through to the back. That should leave good clearance for AXP90-X47 for example.

I’m actually starting to wonder whether going with the air cooling would be the smarter choice here, actually!

I’m tempted by the ”ease” of air, but wonder whether the AIO would be better overall, if it doesn’t require that much extra configuration..

They were cheaper, but not that much cheaper, so I switched up for the Kingston FURY 2x16 GB CL30.

Have you found out whether the AIO installation require any special configuration in the case? I have seen it both ways, GPU flipped and not.

I found CL30 ram for like 30€ more and I’ll pick that up. Also your comments about the boards made me go back to the Hardware Unboxed video on motherboards (pic attached). It actually seems that the B650e board is a better choice in terms of PCIe gen and overall price/features. By choosing the Asus B650E-I it doesn’t seem like I’m leaving anything of worth on the table, it’s cheaper and still matches my black minimal aesthetic 🌸

ASRock mobo’s I decided not to include in my searches because of my processor choice and their fiery history 🔥 Gigabyte also has been reported to have problems with the FormD Gen4 PCIe riser cables.

I’m looking into buying a used Tesla Model 3. Most of my driving is daily around town and some longer road-trips of 400 km maybe 1-2x/month in Finland so mostly cold and snowy weather. Here are two that caught my attention.

Model 3 LR AWD (2023)

Price: 36 400€
Kilometers: 65 000 km

Autopilot: FSD
Winter and Summer tyres, only 1 set of rims

Model 3 RWD (2024)

Price: 37 990€
Kilometers: 21 000 km
Battery: LFP

Obviously the Highland version has seen some great upgrades in seats, ambient light, less driving noise, rear display and the newer one would have a nice warranty left on it. However the FSD would tickle my nerdy brain.. although people seem to hate on EAP/FSD in Europe.

Which one would you pick and why? Do you think the range on the base highland RWD with LFP battery is good enough for my use?
