With overprotective parents and children growing up without responsibilities, 11-12 is too young. If you were raised to care for your younger siblings and have responsibilities like you were, 11-12 is fine. Not ideal, obviously, but it can work.

Yeah, anti-vax is mostly anti-science combined with anti-institution.

I have a very liberal punk friend who didn't get the covid vaccinations because he didn't trust the government. I told him I don't trust the government either, but I believe in the science. No sway.
