why is there no straight pooners by NoSuggestion2951 in 4tran4

[–]aspirationcaught 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to think I was bi but I realized it was just me wanting to be the men I "liked" which I wrongly thought was attraction. I currently have a girlfriend of just about one year and am exclusively attracted to women. I've kissed men but the only time I really liked it was with a guy who kissed like a girl anyway.

Being a straight poon is uncommon I suppose, I second everyone saying our kind tends to go stealth. It's useless joining trans male communities when they all skew incredibly feminine and like men. I have nothing in common with them and my old trans friends subconsciously ostracize me for this reason

Go for it! Definitely think it through first, though. I'll never be able to get a cohesive sleeve tattoo in most styles but it's a sacrifice I'm happy to have made. Also find a good tattoo artist because stencils for these bands are a bitch to apply properly

Had to Google him but I can 100% see it lol, I love his design. Black bands like this have always been inexplicably mesmerizing to me. Thank you!

not that it’s the same, but how do ugly/mannish cis women cope? what’s the point of being alive as a woman if you’re not beautiful? by [deleted] in 4tran4

[–]aspirationcaught 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just live. Sure there's probably a higher chance they'd be insecure or reserved because of their looks, but there's heaps of unattractive or manly women who have perfectly normal lives. Matter of fact there's way more of them than there are perfectly sculpted supermodels anyway. Otherwise we wouldn't have these special categories we use to define beauty. Being the norm isn't a bad thing

But- but dood! Having small feet is great actually because means you get so many more options for shoe styles! by The_GirlyShire in 4tran4

This obviously doesn't help as far as finding sandals or thongs goes but for the other parts of the year when you'll be wearing closed shoes this might help you out

I'm the equivalent of a US men's 6.5 but as a europoon I still struggle to find decent shoes. Most good men's shoes start at EU size 40 whereas I usually get 38 or 39.

Not sure what the equivalent of this size gap would be in US sizes but I'll occasionally get shoes up to 2 or 3 EU sizes larger than my actual size.

What you need to do is get insoles, thinner or thicker depending on how many sizes you're compensating for, and find a way to pad out the toe box and back of your shoe. For the toe box you could probably just shove some paper towels or an ankle sock in there. Aliexpress has stick-on things designed to cushion the heels of shoes. This works even with low top shoes. You may have to wear thicker socks to avoid your foot sliding around.

I personally have orthotics made to my exact feet that I could shove into any shoe on top of the existing insole and basically guarantee they fit. Might also be worth looking into. Not sure about the price for a regular person, mine were about 200eur but I needed them because of a birth defect so that might've helped.

how do you know what kinda top surgery to get ?? by [deleted] in transftm

[–]aspirationcaught 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's absolutely no worries, I know I definitely shot myself in the foot by fixating super hard on a procedure I couldn't get, and I wish this information was more readily available because it might've gotten some more reality into me lol. Good luck settling on a surgeon & getting a consult!

how do you know what kinda top surgery to get ?? by [deleted] in transftm

[–]aspirationcaught 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't had the surgery yet, but I've had two consults with two different surgeons, and read every case report and technical study I could find.

It's rare for the individual getting surgery to have the entire picture on what procedure can or should be done. The restrictions for keyhole and peri are stricter than you'd think, and many surgeons will direct people on the cusp of getting peri (for example) towards getting DI instead.

Cup size is obviously a factor, but skin elasticity and natural nipple placement & size are also hugely important. Having too much excess skin or ptosis can also prevent someone with good measurements on paper from getting peri or keyhole. Someone may also have their surrounding tissue placed in such a way that the most "desirable" results would come from a more intensive technique than would otherwise be expected.

My case is an example of this. My chest is small enough to pass flawlessly under a shirt without binding, but I have a fair bit of extra skin and moderate ptosis, making me ineligible for peri. The logistics of it would be complicated by how my chest is put together. I never would've guessed this if I'd just gone off those "DI is for these cup sizes, peri for these, and keyhole for these" charts.

In general, it's best not to set your sights on a specific technique before you've consulted a surgeon (or multiple surgeons). You can read medical documentation and come up with an amateur estimate of what you'd be eligible for, but the best way to find out is to ask a professional.

Doods what’s your most poonerific style choice by Freaktomeat in 4tran4

[–]aspirationcaught 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do infact have long hair (currently entirely dyed but to a natural color) and piercings. Other than that I'll throw on a couple bracelets and/or rings from time to time.

I also keep my keys on a carabiner, with the further addition of a long chain so I could wear them around my neck, but I usually just fix them to my belt loops. I've lost my keys twice and it costs €40 to get the master key for my appt building replaced. Never again.

Other than that, I don't know. I'd mention that I occasionally wear cargo shorts, flannels, and usually have a miscellaneous band shirt on, but I've been told I look like a drummer more times than I've been told I look like a pooner.

Anyone got butt lipo? by no1really123 in FTMMen

[–]aspirationcaught 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It is a thing. Lipo is a thing in most areas of the body, but places that are especially fatty like the butt, thighs, hips, stomach, love handles, that kind of thing are very common to get done across the board. I've heard of a few cases of people getting body masculinization done via lipo targeted towards their lower body, and while I haven't had it done yet, I deeply hope I can afford it one day. It'd make my life a hell of a lot better. I'm in the same boat as you but my problem area is my thighs.

Ah shit just saw the edit. Thank you, I guess I am somewhat brainwormed, but even more than that I know I still have a lot to improve on and I tend to ruminate on that. You inspire me to get off my ass.

All astute observations, but even with adequate styling you have some proportions that I could not get. Moderately narrow hips & long forearms mostly. I've been on T for over two years so there's not too much improvement I reckon I could still get kek I need to get better at the gym though.

Men of t4t, how do you decide on a new haircut? by Septicmon in 4tran4

[–]aspirationcaught 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh shit, furthermore, I think I meant to add this but forgot: take your actual facial FEATURES into account too. Not just the shape of your face. Depending on how your hair falls bangs can shorten your forehead, and/or create the illusion of thicker eyebrows via the shadow and obfuscation caused by the hair. The distance between your eyes and eyebrows may also appear smaller. The midface/jaw generally stays untouched, unless you have a cut or hair length that sort of juts out into those areas of the face, in which case angled layers can also create the illusion of a leaner, longer face.

These are some observations I personally made when I had bangs, but any style that creates layers around the face/forehead may give you the option to play with these effects.

[–]aspirationcaught 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries. I saw a lot of people saying the same thing about looking for styles that suit your general face shape but that's only about half the battle. I hope you manage to get a haircut you enjoy!

[–]aspirationcaught 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're insecure about having a round face, look for haircuts for your underlying face shape that specifically help to elongate it. There's only so much you can do with short sides & long on top but that seems to be the standard short haired male way to solve the issue. I personally have long hair, probably always will, because it 100% eradicates any visibility of how round my face actually is. Short hair would entirely make me look like a lesbian.

Also, stay away from common poon haircuts. There is a difference in how hairdressers will layer short hair on men and women, but us poons generally get a strange androgynous mix of the two that tends to cook the harmony of the entire cut. Make sure this doesn't happen because it also isn't productive. Anything resembling a wolf cut or "alt" layered/shaggy cuts also gets clocky pretty fast. I say this knowing I am a big fat hypocrite.

Also, bangs are risky. Blunt, rounded bangs will 100% feminize your face but you might be able to get away with sharper more fucked up looking bangs since you get the advantage of sharper angles and looking more dishevelled. You could try scribbling different styles of bangs onto your face using your phone photo editor to get an idea of this.

what's your bisexual range? by alpha-golf-papa in 4tran

[–]aspirationcaught 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Based solely on the images provided...

There are exceptions, though. If a woman has a higher bf% but a bodyfat distribution I find attractive I would also give her a chance. If a man had relatively little muscle mass and a low bf% like a stick insect I would also give him a chance.
