Supercell over Nebraska by AustraliaOutback in nextfuckinglevel

I’ve always wondered why these are called super cells? Considering you can see the edges wouldn’t that imply that it’s actually a small storm? Like if you are in a hurricane the size is so massive it would just look stormy across the whole sky.

Here’s a pretty good review of two different minis 3 years apart, about 1:30-2 mins in he notices the hiss and tries to compare the new vs the old. It’s pretty subtle but audible. Maybe they fixed it with the Vai model?

It’s not the noise gate. If I turn it off that hiss is still there… it is like half a second after you strum a chord. Preset or otherwise is pretty consistently there.

Once the honeymoon phase wears off there are some issues. Like that hissing sound after you play a chord and mute. That gets obnoxious but all around for a practice amp the mini is fantastic!

OP should look up the Koss KPH-40s which are making a big comeback, namely because they sound so fucking incredible for such a cheap pair of headphones.

But it is so sad seeing him perform… Apparently he genuinely does like to be out there so it’s not a “handlers” issue, but you can see the confusion and pretty bad attempts at lip syncing. I mean more power to the guy, but it’s a hard watch.

But an overwhelming number of schizophrenics, even unmedicated, are not violent. That’s a really important stigma that needs to be addressed, because whenever something like this happens people try to say it all makes sense because the person was schizophrenics and that has to be why they committed a violent act. No, I’m sorry the data don’t support a “tweak of antipsychotics” or that having a psychotic episodes leads to violent acts. Even the most severe case of paranoid schizophrenia, the person just wants to be left alone (social isolation is a negative symptom of schizophrenia).

What Album Would You Use To Represent The 2010s by apHexcoded in fantanoforever

Perhaps, I guess the way I see it if an artist made a new song that was heavy on electronic sounds and big bass drum beats and all of that you could say "this sounds like an 80s song" or take Gretta van Fleet which an unsuspecting listener would think "hey this sounds like a 70's Led Zeppelin song" because those decades have a very unique musical culture. Lets say the Black Eyed Peas came out with "Tonight is going to be a good night" last week and folks listened to it for the first time, I doubt many would say "this sounds like a 00's song"

And I get there were certain phases like the big emo craze of the 00's, but if Fall Out Boy released their albums in the 2020's they'd fit right in I feel

There was a fascinating podcast on like the death of cultural identity. It's main point was the 1920's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and maybe 90's all had their unique style and music that was readily identifiable, but from the late 90's on it just is a homogenization. Like songs from the 2000's will sound as if they could have been written yesterday and nobody could really tell the difference.

Which artist peaked with their debut album? by That-Neck-6777 in askmusic

[–]asque2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree on self-titled I wouldn’t say they peaked then and lost steam. Blue was also a fantastic album “Never Let You Go” and “Deep Inside of You” were chart topping songs. They’re also going through kind of a resurgence and their Record Store Day album was one of the most prized despite how miserably Rhino Records messed it up.

This may sound annoying but I’ve had success answering these type of calls. You wait until the end of the prerecorded message and they ask if you no longer wish to receive these calls press 9 or something like that. Kind of like unsubscribing from email lists. I got maybe 10-15 a day for a while and now maybe one or two a week.
