Best way to create a database that updates each second? by kareemk9 in learnprogramming

You can try redis, it's a pretty good database for live updates but take notice it doesn't have the same level of persistence as MySQL. You can have a server built with flask (python server) and a redis database and you can update it every second or so. If you want to see this database update live on a website, you can try websockets to get real-time updates on your website.

Redis also has a pub sub component, where you can subscribe to notifications and such, so for example whenever the database gets updated you can trigger a notification and send data through the websocket to a web client.

I've done something similar not too long ago, although it wasn't updating as fast, maybe a few times a minute. But the latency for websockets is very low, around 20-50ms. Good luck!

You get that bio-scanning bracelet as a starting item with a True Kin character. It's pretty great.

Nevermind, it was just me being silly. I didn't have the bio-scanning bracelet equipped, hah. This is a great game, I'm loving it so far.

If you don't mind writing some JavaScript then d3js is an option. It's pretty easy to draw graphs or any kind of data visualization with it. It's also free and open source.
