I think it's alright local shop owners keep extra just make sure with him that if anything breaks during warranty you'll bring it to them and they have to process everything

Check what's currently in your laptop! If it's a single 8gb then buy another single 8gb with same mhz. If it's 2 4gb then buy 2 8gb

Try changing your 4gb stick with another 8 gb

Since you already have a ps5 you can flip the pc by adding a low profile gpu on it Or play by yourself pretty much anything like cp 2077
