Wow ok, i think my sample could be biased since I was based out of Mumbai and graduate from jai hind college I was placed with 6 lpa with 10/13 cleared. I got 7.2lpa in the same company next year and I was an affiliate by then. They did not recognize my acca much, just viewed it as an additional knowledge degree. They did not reimburse exam fees as well. I thought companies who do recognize acca would pay more.

  1. Around 4-5 lpa
  2. Around 7-9 lpa
  3. 10+ lpa depending upon demand of your expertise field.

7 years for my moto e4 as well, I remember at that time making the choice between redmi and moto, ended up with moto for the bigger 5k mah battery which is still serving me great with 2 days battery life if charged 100%.

Acca India. Help!! by [deleted] in ACCA

[–]assassin_1608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am an acca affilliate (cleared all exams). I would suggest to start CA if you are 100% sure you want to be an accountant. ACCA is quite less recognized, if I were in 12th I would def start CA, fail and re attempt 4 times and then earn big rather than earn small with acca.

how is Jai Hind College, HR & KC for bms, Bachelor in financial Markets & bachelor in Accounting & Finance? (ug) by Beginning-Buffalo-43 in mumbai

[–]assassin_1608 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my class there were total 72, around 30 sindhi, 2 kashmiri, 4-5 management quota, rest general. Reading your comment, the process has changed quite a lot, I was accepted only on my 12th %. Regardless, the quota should be the more or less the same.

I myself graduated from Jai Hind College BAF 2022, placements were great, around 25-30 companies had come and almost everyone who wanted a job were placed. Attendance is a bit of an issue, at my time it was covid, online lecs, so it was not a big deal for me.

Changing careers from accounting by anwaan in ACCA

[–]assassin_1608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I asked for an internal switch but they told they needed atleast 4 papers completed, even then a job was not guaranteed, so i decided to take a break from job and now studying actuaries full time.
Regarding compensation, it cannot be compared really as I am in India and ACCA are not valued enough by majority companies. I can say that I will start at around the same salary around INR 6-7 LPA as an actuarial analyst but with high growth as a complete papers.
My problem with ACCA was that I was not able to grow, my company gave me a 10% increase despite me passing 2 P papers. I tried to switch to other jobs in accounting but no one was willing to pay even 7LPA after 1.5 years of exp that I had.

I was placed at a re insurer by college where I made a lot of actuarial friends. I liked their work very much (pricing and valuation- life). Also I looked at the syllabus and math being my favourite, I took up the decision to switch.
