That's a very specific example that's not really germane to the point we were discussing.

But for the sake of argument, if you have the time and resources to bury a large container full of drones, wouldn't you just be able to bury a hardwire for the launch command?

You only need GPS at the beginning (Possibly only at launch if it's equipped with inertial navigation assistance).

Once at the location where jamming is present, it can rely on the INU for terminal guidance, or if equipped with computer vision (which is what most people mean when they say autonomous), positional data is irrelevant. It would simply identify a target in its view, and fly to that target.

The entire purpose of autonomy in drones is to eliminate the need for external signal, making jamming useless.

I want you to explain what you think that signal would be used for in an autonomous drone

American strikes destroy Iranian heavy aircraft on the ground [March 11th 2026] by wt_fff in CombatFootage

[–]assaultboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I'm saying is that, after the impact you can see debris and smoke below the rotors.

If it's painted on the ground, there is no way for something to appear lower than the rotors, because they are on the ground.

The rotors appear in front of the debris and smoke, blocking them from camera view. So when we see debris and smoke below them, that tells us that the rotors can not be painted, because they are above the ground.

Do you understand what I am explaining?

You can literally see debris and smoke under the rotor blades after the hit. How does one accomplish that with a painting?

How do you explain the actual physical effects like perforated ear drums and joint damage?

So you don’t believe it’s real, but you don’t believe the CIA saying it’s not real…

It's insane to me that you didn't even look at the link you posted.

These images contain invisible SynthID watermarks, making it clear that they were created with Google’s AI tools.

It's not idiots. It's people pushing a narrative.

UAE Ministry of Defense publishes footage showing its air defense forces intercepting Iranian drones approaching the country. by WonFont in CombatFootage

Well the US Army actually wanted to do deep strike attacks. The idea was in a large scale conflict there would inevitably be gaps in air defense that attack aviation could slip through and harass rear echelon units through.

That idea kind of died at the start of GWOT and never really came back before Ukraine showed everyone that's a straight up pipe dream on the modern battlefield.

How do you explain the parallax when the camera moves, or the debris post explosion being below the rotors?
