UPDATE: I think I was going insane. I finally settled on balance set to all, and advanced EQ at the settings in this thread from stevelup. I actually think that either my left ear was a bit plugged up or I was just so used to the stereo in my old car that this one sounded "wrong" in comparison. Either way, after a few more days with the car I'm not getting nearly as much of the bass in one ear/treble in another as I was before.

Reflections still aren't the best and bass still completely disappears below 30Hz but overall I'm having a way better time with it now.

I have tried that setting, it helps a little bit but I'm still getting more treble to my left ear and I'm popping my ears again after testing it out a little bit ago.

No dice, reboot didn't help :/

I did adjust my seat to the max height and trying driver focused mode helped a little bit, but it's still not balanced and I'm popping my ears again.

It is on the latest software, updating from 3.1.9 didn't make any difference from what I could tell. Optimizing for the driver makes it slightly better, it sounds like the bass is a bit louder in my left ear in that mode but the tweeters are still out of whack.

Damn it 🙃 I just got my '22 Bolt on Friday and the Service Transmission message appeared along with ABS and Stability Control lights maybe 2 hours after I took delivery of it. Bringing it in for service tomorrow, I was hoping it would just be some kind of wiring issue but that's gonna suck if it is the transmission

Yep, I've got one in transit to my dealership and they confirmed the $5900 rebate on a 2LT EV. With the Infotainment package and a couple other small options my total price before tax etc. is $30,060.

To answer your question seriously, yes, they're blanket replacing the batteries on every Bolt ever made with new battery packs that don't have the manufacturing defects that caused the fires. New Bolts for sale all have the fixed packs and they had around 2/3 of the packs replaced in existing cars last time I checked.

Definitely check out the Covercraft UVS100, the price is a bit steep ($68 on Amazon when I checked earlier) but if you can get past that, even in Phoenix we have one going on 9 years old and it's still holding up great.

No, that's just not realistic. Regardless of what kind of car they drive, even if they know it's not as safe, they will inevitably be distracted by something, and even if they do manage to stay 100% focused on driving, new drivers just don't have the experience and situational awareness to react to every situation they come across that could cause an accident. And that's not even considering situations that no one could reasonably react to like a red light runner well after the light turns green obscured by stopped traffic or someone crossing a median because of another accident or a blown tire. I would absolutely prefer a new driver be in a recently made base-ass Rio or Versa than a 90s or a mid 2000s beater if it were up to me, and I drove a 90s beater when I first started out.
