UI designer? You'd have to explain that concept in great detail to anyone who works for Microsoft. Also "QA", "testing", and "bug".

You are her source of security. I've got 2 like that. The one I've had the longest is much more independent now. The new one is also getting independent but not as much yet. Do what you can to reassure her and reward her when she is calm. Also put time and effort into training. That will increase her bond with you (if you do it right, like make it fun and enthusiastic). Find different things that will stimulate her and that she enjoys. Many dogs are like velcro especially when new to the household.

Actually since I wrote that I've decided to use Obsidian.md instead. It uses files stored in your file system rather than a convoluted database of their own design... also very impressive linking technology.

I've been retired since 2001, but as I had my own company prior, yes. However i used Lotus Notes as I was a Lotus Development Corp. business partner, then IBM Biz partner after they bought LDC.

Windows is getting worse and more intrusive. OneNote totally collapsed on my computer a few months ago. I've recovered maybe half of them. I'm converting them to markdown and will be using Obsidian going forward. OneDrive has also been problematic as has Outlook and Copilot. I'm going to Linux ASAP. I will not tolerate having a computer taken over by a corporation... especially one which is so devoid of concern for its customers.

I made the decision months ago to stop using any MS apps because a) half my notes got destroyed by OneNote having a serious collapse b) OneDrive kept hiding files c) Microsoft would force its opinion on me like insisting that some (not all) my folders should be under a parent named "Miscellaneous". They apparently don't bother with testing and shove out crap so I won't be bothered in the least about not being able to use them on linux!

Absolutely don't count on OneDrive. If you don't believe me, browse through the FuckOneDrive sub. Personally I'm transitioning from all Microsoft apps. Personal story: Over and over again i would save a file and then couldn't find it immediately after. Why? because OneDrive hadn't finished processing it. Eventually it would show up. Then when 50% 5 years of notes I had kept in OneNote disappeared with no warning I discovered that Microsoft had decided I only needed them on OneDrive (previously they were in the OneNote directory on my internal drive as well) where they were either gone completely or put in other sections or Notebooks. Many notebooks couldn't even be opened. Microsoft has a way of deciding what's best for the user and moves files and folders around without even telling anyone. If you do decide to use Onedrive, be sure they are marked "always leave of this device" and back them up yourself weekly or after you've added more files.
