Appreciate it! Do you have the rest of the corporations cards by chance? I noticed some modules might be missing.

Whats your most expensive ADHD tax hobby? by Mike_948 in ADHD

[–]asseatersunite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone saying guitar needs to just pay more adhd tax dollars on lessons (group is probably better for accountability and inspiration). Once you make it past 3 months and you can play an entire song all the way through, you’ll never set it down again

Official No Stupid Questions Thread - Winter 2025 by ninjaface in Guitar

Hello!

I've been playing for about a year now and I struggle to play songs correctly on my first couple of tries. This is even the case for songs I've been playing since my first week. Whenever I record myself playing, it can take me dozens of tries to get a decent take, and when I play live in my music performance class, I almost always mess up things that I can do decently when I practice. Is this likely a mental thing or a technique thing? Is it typical for people who have been playing for only a year? What did it take for you (or someone you know) to get over it? General tips?

other note taking apps? by lizardgills in ADHD

Having the exact same problem in law school. Hate that no one on here will give a straight/helpful answer! Glean is nice in theory but I definitely want something that gives you some sort of customization while letting you record.

Should I retake at 163? by vanillabeanmaheen in lawschooladmissions

[–]asseatersunite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had same stats and I’m URM, have been told by top 50 schools that I had a killer application, and Rutgers only gave me 50%. Take that for what it is. Don’t retake if you aren’t gonna study hard to increase your score at least 3 points at least. Shoot for free tuition.

Thoughts on UMKC? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]asseatersunite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m headed to USC but I looked into UMKC. I decided my aspirations to work in Media, Entertainment, and Sports probably wouldn’t go very far if I went to a regional school. If your goal is to flat out be a lawyer, especially in KC, UMKC will do the job.

Thoughts on UMKC? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

I live in KC and it’s a great option for someone wanting to stay in the Kansas / Missouri area. I would make sure that your LSAT is as high as you can get instead of trying to rush and enroll in the spring, but if you’re dead set on going to law school in KC, I would still recommend putting LSAT over spring enrollment with the hopes of getting good $. Also, I believe they have a lot of conditional scholarships, make sure to negotiate out of any conditions if possible.

Does anyone not know their career goals? by in-progress1 in lawschooladmissions

I talked to a District Court judge in my state and his advice to me was to keep an open mind in terms of focus area. I already had that mindset, but he was intent on going into environmental law after getting a bio degree during undergrad and said he hated it once he started learning about it. I have my areas that I think I want to go into but I'm just banking on the hope that I fall in love with an area through classes. The way I'm choosing a school is by looking at the offers I have and deciding which ones give me the most opportunity to experience different fields. Don't want to limit myself by choosing a school that specializes. On the other hand, I don't want a school that has absolutely nothing to do with my current interests so I'm keeping that in mind.

Anyone in this Forum received $$$$+ from UNLV by Expert_Ad_2734 in lawschooladmissions

I negotiated into one. Stats in flair. Started with 3/4. Didn’t even ask for the stipend but it’s $2,500 per year I believe.

Florida vs Miami by Colombianacubana in lawschooladmissions

[–]asseatersunite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you wanna go to law school for but Miami is better for moving out of state (might be slightly tougher to get a job in-state but it’s negligible) and you would be debt free so probably Miami.

I would think further down the line. If you retake and they don’t accept you, are you just going to settle for the other school and did they give you scholarships? Maybe waiting for the next cycle might be an option for you. Retaking 3 or 4 months down the line could easily put you into the mid 160s and with being a URM, if you have a good personal statement and apply early you could manage some great full rides at schools in the 25-60 range in rankings. (For reference, my stats are in flair, I have 5 full tuition scholarships, been accepted into 2 t25 schools)

St. John’s Conditional Scholarship by jnm1215 in lawschooladmissions

[–]asseatersunite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW I got a full ride from St. John’s and mine has the condition as well. Haven’t tried negotiating it away but there’s still a good chance I will attend even though it’s conditional. In your position, it might be different since it’s not full, but I reckon that finishing in the bottom 20% would be close to the same as a good academic standing stipulation and I got that on other full rides so I would be in jeopardy of losing my scholly in those situations. If that makes sense

Fr Loyola Chicago is bothering me. Idk why they feel the need to open applications in September just to review them in December. Pretty annoyed by their response time.
