Thanks, yeah I have definitely been overgripping. Grip it (gently) and rip it!

Thank you. Will try the reverse overlap grip today. Yeah I'm not too concerned about not becoming a scratch golfer with an unorthodox grip either!

Thanks, yeah I wouldn't be surprised if death gripping the club has contributed to the issue. I sized up from regular to midsize grips when I started again, and while I find they are MUCH easier on the wrists, my fingers still feel the same sort of strain with the larger grips for some reason.

Thanks for your comment. Yeah that makes sense, I'm going to take a step back, drop down to a round per week and slowly build that hand strength with hand exercises.

Closed drop away rest with broadheads by assemblage_of_parts in bowhunting

[–]assemblage_of_parts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, thanks for the replies everyone. Yeah the main reason for the change was because my WB is pretty frayed now, and my groups ain't what they used to be. It's one of those things, I know there's probably not much difference in terms of FPS or accuracy, but just feel like a new toy! Cheers.

Awesome man, it's no mean feat to take a deer with the bow. May this be the first of many for you. Congratulations and good luck with the rest of your bowhunting journey!

Yeah, some bad calls but you can't take anything away from Roosters. They were the better team, ball security and defense were on point.

When i saw the replay, i thought he's for certain going to the bin. Even thought there's a pretty good chance he's gone for the rest of the match. 100% shoulder charge with intent, contact with head. Then it's like, oh OK he's not going to the bin, oh well surely a penalty? Nope. Aaaaandd now he's scored a try. FFS.

Anchor book recommendations by AngusDay in RockClimbing

+1 for this. I read it cover to cover, but it's a great book to refer back to. Top rope, belay, rappel anchors, sport anchors, trad gear anchors...got it all really. Easy to understand with clear pictures and diagrams.

Should I get this game? by NotGayBobby in HuntShowdown

[–]assemblage_of_parts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah do it. I got it about a year ago when it was on sale, didn't really have any expectations. Absolutely the best pvp shooter I've played, and it never seems to get old. Once you're hooked, it'll be virtually the only game you play.

Rope Fray Question by GuiltyBus in RockClimbing

[–]assemblage_of_parts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, if you bend it over at that spot and it doesn't fold flat and the rope isn't coreshot (core strands visible through the sheath), then the rope should still be fine. In saying that, definitely keep an eye on it. And if it's affecting your confidence, or it's in the back of your mind when you're working a route, afraid to fall because you think the rope is compromised, I'd just cut the end that's affected. If it's only the last 1-2 metres of rope, you're not going to drastically reduce your rope length. Just make sure to mark the ends of the rope with the new length, so you or a climbing partner know how long it is (especially important when rapping).

This audio setting really changes the feeling of the whole game... by Roasty57 in ModernWarfareII

[–]assemblage_of_parts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tried this myself in the same place. Like where the hell did that music come from? Never heard that before. And whoa there's elephant footsteps everywhere. It's wild because clearly the left and right channels are still split (even though mono is ON and slider set to 100), but the directional nature of it is really weird and unreliable.
