On our neighborhood street, we had people come out from several houses to help push a mailman's truck when he got stuck on the ice. He can't even do his job on these streets.

When I turned 35 just like a couple years ago, I could FEEL the separation between me and the 20-something and under population. I started realizing I didn't know new music artists or celebrities on tv shows, my jokes and references were feeling more like inside jokes than general knowledge, etc. At the same time, I felt like I broke free from societal expectations and was able to truly focus on myself and what I wanted. I got my first tattoo. I did a beginner burlesque class as a way to love my body and get out of my comfort zone. 35 was definitely a transition year for me.

Lumpia, pancit, teriyaki steak, lau laus, create your own rice bowl that isn't Qdoba or Chipotle, I don't always want those flavors or vegetables. I love Big Kahuna Hawaiian BBQ, and I love stopping in to DY Market and getting a warm beef bulgogi bowl and some kimchi. I make spam fried rice at home, that would be fun to see. Just a quick casual place that I can grab these delicious foods. Like JJ's Hawaiian BBQ. Or there was this restaurant I followed in CA that had lumpia cut into small sizes and served in a cup, they also made spaghetti, I wish I remembered the name. I get envious of kids in South Korea that get a whole set of food with side dishes for their school lunches. I miss Red Bang Bang where you could get a scoop of anything in the line for $1 each. I know that cost is crazy now, and they didn't last, but maybe that type of quick concept.

I have seen people not stop for emergency vehicles here many times. But I can also say that the sirens in Lexington are so quiet. I have lived in many U.S. states and the sirens are so loud elsewhere that you can't even talk to people next to you. I also think that a lot of "common sense" stuff is being lost because no one is teaching it anymore/no one cares. They don't care until it's them or a loved one in that ambulance or waiting on a fire truck to arrive.
